Grief doesn’t follow a set timeline. It comes in waves, some days gentle, some days crashing. There’s no “right” way to grieve, and no timeline for healing. If you’re hurting, know you’re not alone. It’s important to be kind to yourself. Talk about the person you lost. Feel what you need to feel. Healing isn’t forgetting, it’s learning to carry love and loss together.

5 Pillars to Good Mental Health

Taking care of your mind is just as important as caring for your body. Here are the 5 pillars to keep in mind:
1. Connection
Surround yourself with people who uplift you. Meaningful relationships reduce stress and give you a sense of belonging. Even a short conversation with a friend or neighbour can brighten your day.
2. Movement
Exercise isn’t just for physical health — it boosts mood, reduces anxiety, and helps clear your mind. You don’t need a gym membership, a daily walk is enough!
3. Learn New Skills
Challenging your brain helps build confidence and keeps your mind sharp. Whether it’s picking up a new hobby, language, or skill, growth fuels mental resilience and self-esteem.
4. Mindfulness
Take time to pause. Whether it’s meditation, journalling, or simply breathing deeply, mindfulness helps you manage stress and stay grounded in the present.
5. Purpose
Having goals or a sense of direction gives life meaning. Whether it’s a career, hobby, or helping others, doing what matters to you!
