🔋 REBRAND ‼️

Upon the completion of my MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) 🎓 a change of appearance was needed…

Introducing SOPHYSIOTHERAPY ⚡️

For those who don’t know me already, my name is Sophie 👋🏼
📍I am based in Essex, and I run this business alongside my full-time employment within the NHS as a rotational physiotherapist, as well as my own travel business! (I LOVE to travel 🤭)

I completed my BSc Sports Therapy in 2021, graduating with first class honours and have pursued various roles in academy and non-league football! ⚽️ I gained my ITMMiF Level 4 qualification in November 2021 to facilitate my longer standing roles as a YDP Sports Therapist at and 🙌🏼

Between May-October 2022, I previously occupied a full-time Band 4 Physiotherapy Assistant role at working predominantly in the trauma and elective orthopaedics department 👩🏼‍⚕️ 🦴
In May 2022, I was offered a place on the MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration) course to commence in October 2022, I stepped away from my full-time role in the hospital, however kept my skills-set up to scratch by occupying bank shifts where possible 🏥

Upon completing my MSc Physiotherapy (pre-registration), I have accepted a new full-time position with Provide CIC! I will be based at Braintree Community Hospital working as a Rotational Outpatients Physiotherapist 👩🏼‍⚕️
I am also occupying the role of First Team Physiotherapist at for the 2024/25 season - unofficially my SEVENTH non-league side since 2020! 🤪

Over the years, I have had my fingers in many pies to say the least! 🙈 I love being able to have a healthy balance between all my roles, and my journey to becoming a physiotherapist has opened many doors to help broaden my scope and competencies, as well as meeting lots of new people along the way! 🤝🏼

NEW SEASON NEW CLUB ⚽️
Starting my FOURTH non-league season with the wonderful team at 🔴⚪️
Unofficially my SEVENTH club since 2020, and with 7 being my lucky number, I hope this season brings great things for all of us ☘️
I trust will be there to catch all the angles throughout the season 🤪📸

Placement 5 ✅
I actually finished this one week ago today, and on Monday I’ll be starting my FINAL placement at Basildon in the orthopaedics department, which should be a breeze given this is what I used to do full time! 😅

I’m gonna be completely honest with myself, I have been completely slacking on this account and really lost touch with regular posting purely because I’m so busy with day-to-day placement and trying to remote my second business! Maybe I’ve got my fingers too many pies but I can’t help but admit I am really enjoying my heart and soul into my travel business 🥹✈️

five weeks left of placement and my masters degree will be complete!

For the time being though if you are seeing this and want to see a little bit more of my other business, then I do encourage you to drop a follow for your holiday needs! ✈️📈✨

A HUGE shoutout to the team at for making this experience such a memorable one. You are all spectacular at what you do and I have been extremely lucky to spend 5 fun-packed weeks here with access to such amazing facilities to help broaden my skill set!

Keep doing what you’re doing, you are making young peoples’ dreams come true 🙏🌈✨

Soppy post incoming 💩

Another 6k words later, the second and FINAL dissertation completed. This MSc has been challenging to say the least, and I feel I’ve isolated myself from people close to me. Finishing this project makes me one step closer to achieving my MSc Physiotherapy (pre-reg) degree👩🏼‍⚕️

When I finished my BSc I never saw myself returning for post graduate study. 3 years ago I submitted my BSc dissertation, today I submitted my MSc one ☝🏼

Just 500 clinical placement and I’ll be another degree hotter 🤓🎓🔥🤘🏼

As I enter the final stretch of my MSc Physiotherapy degree, I am required to complete a dissertation. I am keen to investigate around the topic of elective orthopaedic surgery, and therefore I will be requiring some participants! 📚

PLACEMENT 3 ✅

My time at Southend Hospital has come to and end! Thank you to all the staff for making it such a great experience! I’ve certainly learnt lots along the way 🧠

It’s nearly Christmas break 🎄 and I will soon be turning my focus to my masters dissertation!

I will soon be taking to my social media to recruit participants for my study… so watch this space! 🦴 📚

PLACEMENT 3 - COMMUNITY REHAB 👩🏼‍⚕️🚙

Based in Southend Hospital this time round, a bit of a dive from home but thus far enjoying a complete change of scenery 🌥️

Being in the community is certainly a challenge none the less - with the need to carefully structure daily plans to stick within the working hours, this is certainly a change from the wards! 😥

Week 1 done 👍🏼

PLACEMENT 2 ✅

And boy didn’t I keep this one quiet! 5 weeks on the stroke ward has been HEAVY to say the least, and working where I can alongside has not left me with much time to myself! But we’re through - and it’s been a great experience! Thank you to the team for making me feel so welcome 🤗

Uni starts again Monday…⏳

✅ PLACEMENT 1

MSK Outpatients is complete! Not the most desired area to work in personally, a challenge to say the least but we got through with top marks! ✌🏼

Thank you to the therapies team for making me feel so welcome and pushing me out of my comfort zone every day 🤣 I have learnt so much in such a short space of time! 🧠

Just over a week now until placement number 2… 👩🏼‍⚕️

🦴THEATRE DAY

Today marks the end of my fourth week on my first placement, and I must say I did not expect to be given the opportunity to watch surgery! Especially as I’ve been practicing in an outpatient setting! 🤩

Today I was lucky enough to witness and first time complex cemented total knee replacement, and GOODNESS me, MUCH more invasive than a classic hip replacement 🤯

I really eye opening experience that is certainly not for the faint hearted 😆
