Faulty or overloaded electrics are a major fire risk.
Ideally only use one plug per socket & avoid overloading/daisy-chaining extension leads. All extension leads have a maximum of 13amps applied to them.
Make sure appliances & chargers have proper safety marks & switch off devices when not in use.

Meet lovely Nurse Emma, who will be delivering short & accredited First Aid Courses across Oxfordshire with us- Emma's a registered nurse with over 30 yrs experience, both in the UK & the Middle East, where she led a team of healthcare professionals within an international school. Today, Emma continues to lead a team within the school environment, which involves, amongst many other things, the delivery of first aid training to staff and students. As a mum of 3 daughters, Emma's made sure to empower them with her valuable life-saving knowledge too.
Emma relishes the opportunity to instill confidence with her relaxed but very interactive teaching style. Her aim, as is the case with all our fabulous First For Safety Oxfordshire instructors, is to make sessions memorable & fun!

Today we were kindly invited by Thames Valley Police to their HQ in Kidlington where we assisted with their "Bumps & Beyond" Event. An opportunity for new 'Police' parents & Police Parents to be, to come together. The day was well organised & attended, credit to Jacqueline Johnson. We got to speak to lots of lovely pregnant officers & others with newborns & toddlers. During the day, we gave demonstrations of how to manage a Choking Baby. Thank you again for having us. It brought back lots of good memories of my TVP days.
