The online study can be done in your own time, and the in person training can be done in the evenings or at the weekend.

EARTH DAY.

From the travels I’ve been fortunate to go on, I’ve witnessed the impact we are having on this planet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Litter-filled beaches in Bali, dying coral in Egypt and Malaysia, flying over forest fires in Australia, and witnessing extreme weather conditions causing flooding. I could go on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This cannot continue.

Today I’m taking the time to take real action on how to reduce my own carbon footprint and impact on the environment, how to reduce Green Beauty Room’s impact on our world, and educating myself further on how we can STOP THIS.

The beauty industry is not a laughing matter.⠀
⠀
As you may have seen, the issue of beauty salons being unable to reopen was raised at Prime Minister's Questions yesterday in Parliament. Whilst we were pleased to see the industry brought up, we - along with many others - were disappointed and angered by the tone in which it was done.⠀
⠀
To see the Government laughing and joking about the future of our industry is unfair to those who work in it. Once again, no clarity was offered in terms of dates, or what the next steps would need to be for beauty salons to be classed as "covid secure".

This is despite other industries being given potential timelines for when they could reopen by Government ministers. There has also been no consideration given to the steps salons have already taken, both for the safety of clients and those who work in them.⠀

We'd also call on everyone to also join in with other campaigns led by industry bodies as well, such as the campaign by British Beauty Council.
