DIY kits: NI fake weight loss jab warning as patients hospitalised

The Department of Health (DH) in Northern Ireland has issued a warning to the public not to “fall victim to criminals” selling fake weight loss medication following reports of patients being hospitalised.

A great evening with the members of Rotary Club. It was an honour to be a part of their meeting and speak to them about the amazing work they do for the community.

We meet at Sonning Golf club twice a month to listen to an interesting speaker and have a meal. Our speaker last night was Kanav Sikka, a local pharmacist and medical prescriber from Winnersh Pharmacy and Clinic.

He told us of his experience working at Tesco, initially loading bananas and latterly for 5 years as a pharmacy manager. When the Lloyds pharmacy in Sainsbury’s at Winnersh closed he saw an opportunity to open his own business.

He managed to find premises on Reading Road opposite Sainsbury’s and after a long period obtaining licences and approvals he opened for business in October last year. 🎉 It’s a community pharmacy and provides the usual NHS services but with an emphasis on customer care and support for the local community.
