How Qigong benifts health!

Key Health Benefits of Qigong
Mental Well-being: Reduces stress, anxiety, and depression by shifting the nervous system from a "fight or flight" response to a "rest and digest" state.
Physical Function: Increases flexibility, improves balance and gait, and helps lower high blood pressure.
Immune System and Vitality: Strengthens the immune system, increases energy levels, and reduces fatigue.
Chronic Condition Management: Aids in managing conditions like Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Parkinson’s disease, chronic pain, and cancer-related symptoms.
Cognitive Support: Promotes better focus, memory, and spatial awareness.

How Qigong Works

Mind-Body Integration: Uses focused intention, deep breathing, and slow movements to cultivate and balance the body's vital energy, or qi.

Relaxation Response: Deep, diaphragmatic breathing reduces stress hormones, while gentle movement lowers inflammation and improves circulation.
Nervous System Regulation: Enhances the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.

Qigong is often seen as a beneficial, low-impact exercise suitable for various ages and fitness levels, particularly for improving overall quality of life and aiding recovery from illness.

Nottingham Tai Chi

The Wollaton class practicing some Chi Kung skills at the start of the lesson before Tai Chi commences. The class has been established now for well over a year. Over that time, students have seen rapid changes in their physical health, general wellbeing, and generally feeling better balanced both mentally and physically. Our classes are open to all, adults only both men and women. The class has built nicely with new students who turn up by word of mouth or on recommendation, which is always nice. We also offer private tuition for those who cant make class, but feel they need to incorporate Tai Chi into their lives, you can contact us on the page to make arrangements. Private lessons are usually on Sat, Mon, Sun at a time to suit, individual or small groups are catered for either at your home or a suitable location. should you wish to attend a class either at Wollaton or Trinity Farm Cossall, just PM to reserve a place, we always welcome new students. Lots of our higher level students were of course once beginners. We look forward to welcoming you to our classes.
