Yoga with Cate Teaching Sundays and Mondays I'd like to bring my learnings from teacher training and elsewhere into an accessible format in my yoga classes.

I've been practicing yoga for over 16 years and have been deepening my practice over the last 5 years, culminating in completing my 200 hour YTT in August 2022, under the amazing guidance of Tandy Pengelly (Yoga Shakti School based in France). One of the reasons I'm drawn to teaching is because I was a frustrated yoga student, wanting to know more and seeking a supported path. Yoga has helped me t

o work with many challenges in my life, and has so much potential for physical and emotional healing, self development and self actualisation. I'm also a qualified transformational life coach (through Animas), and at some point I'd like to bring these two disciplines together more formally. In the meantime I'm building my experience of teaching yoga classes, aiming to deepen classes beyond the physical so that yoga can become a tool for individual transformation. The most common thing people say when I mention being yoga is "oh I can't do yoga I'm not _________ enough". But yoga is how you become __________, and more!
You don't need to be flexible, strong, balanced or indeed calm to start a practice. You just need a "why" (to develop your strength, flexibility, mobility... to destress and chill out for a while... to connect with your inner peaceful self... or even to just try something healthy and new), and a willingness to work with and accept wherever you're at right now 💜. Yoga will fill in your blank and give you waaaay more benefits than you could ever have imagined ❤️

I've made a tough decision to put yoga teaching on hold for now. Life and priorities have changed so much since I began teaching nearly two years ago. I'm so grateful for my own practice, incredible training and ongoing learning, but most of all to my incredible students who showed up even on cold and wet winter nights, choosing to nurture their future selves over the urge to take the easier option! May you continue to invest 💗
I hope to be back one day with the retreat centre I dream of! In the meantime please keep practicing. For other local(ish) classes, try them all ️😊:
