Prayers and Offerings! 🙏🏺

A practice as old as written language, prayer has been used by all major religions and is often used in spiritual practices too. Some of the earliest prayers and offerings were found in Sumeria and Egypt, however ritual offerings have been found from earlier periods around the world! 🌍✨️

Prayer can be as simple as connecting to the Divine, the Creator or a God or Goddess..

To ask for help in your endeveurs, or a way of expressing feelings of what's bothering you or a need for understanding.

People also use prayer as a conduit for confession or to ask for relief from their sorrows! 🎭

Offerings can often be left on an altar or shrine, as a gift in exchange for favour from a higher power or spirits, or as an offering to the ancestors! 🕯

Example of offerings could be personal items, sacred objects, food or drink, seashells or plants or even precious metals or stones! Often there is an emphasis on these being natural materials when possible! 🏺🙏

Connecting with spiritual ideas like the law of attraction and manifestation, prayer is a great tool to have in your spiritual toolkit! ⚒️⚕️

We've gone for a new look! 👀🧿

Our Spring Clean ready for the new season involved sourcing new displays from a shop in cirencester, and some others via Facebook marketplace! 📍🌍

All our furniture from the start has been sourced second hand, and alot of decoration has also been sourced sustainably this way! Even using some of our own personal wooden furniture handed down by family! 🌍🌱

We know you all loved the Crystals spread out on the table, but change is in the air! 🌬

After Spring Fair we have new ranges and goods that will need shelf space and this way we also have more light spread throughout our little shop! 🌄

We hope you enjoy the new look as much as we do, and we look forward to seeing you all again soon! God Bless ✨️🙏

🕯 What is Imbolc? 🕯

Maybe you've noticed the birds stirring, singing new songs? 🐦

Perhaps you've seen a few weary shoots appearing early on your nature walks? 🌱

Or maybe you're starting to mentally shake off that wintery veil, the heaviness of the last few months? 🌧

Well Imbolc is the celebration of the beginning of spring, in "pagan" and Wiccan Traditions this is a time of Mother Earth or the great spirit beginning its birthing pains of the new season.

The great host let's us all know, its time to prepare for the life giving warmth of the sun again, and be grateful to have made it through the dark winter months! 🌬

Maybe your ritual this year will be one of gratitude, or maybe you'll be revisiting your goals for the year and setting some strong intentions? 📖

Lighting a candle, speak out loud your goals and intentions for the year or write them on a bay leaf or parchment.. while also leaving an offering on your altar! 🙏🕯

Or weaving some St Brigids Crosses?

A big "Spring Clean"! 🧼🌱

Out with the old, and in with the new! 🧹

Cleaning out the old energies from winter, using some smudge sticks or sacred herbs like Sage or Rosemary to cleanse your space.. and then use a sacred wood like palo santo to bring in the positive, new energy! ⚕️🧿

Whatever your beliefs, you can incorporate some Imbolc Rituals as a way to tune into the new season and add some meaning to your life!

What an awesome day! 😁

Our first time attending Spring Fair 2026! 🎪 Completed it mate! ✅️

We've been hard at work networking and sourcing a variety of new wholesalers and goods from all over the country! 🌍

We met so many kind and welcoming business owners, buyers/sellers and noone looked nearly as lost as us! 🤔

Way too much to see in one day! 😅👌🏼

We even managed to do some crystal shopping so expect some goodies on monday! 💎

However we met the guys at British Fossils, what an amazing stall they had! Sophie was super helpful! So much new stuff to see, we've placed our order for this new seasons stock and we're super excited for you all to see what arrives! 📦

Including some huge carved ammonites, and more break your own geode kits! ⛏️

And as you can see from the pictures, Nemesis Now Wholesale had a real cool theme to their stall! Lots of new stock to come from them this year, well be sure to add to the collection this spring!

Youll be excited to know we've been looking at their new PopGlow range, foldable lamps that come in cool designs! So thats on the cards in the coming months too! 📦

We're both very tired now from all the driving, but we thought we just share what a lovely day we had! 🥰

And let you know that there is plenty to come this year so keep your eyes peeled, and your wallets ready! 😅🙏

How to find us from the High Street? 📍🌏

Our shopfront is based on the road you take to reach the Bourough Fields/Sainsbury's Car Park, at the back of the Apsley House Arcade!

But if you dont tend to use the Sainsbury's car park, you might have missed our modest little shopfront alongside our neighbours The Little Pottery Painting Co. 🕯🙏

Well here's a short video, showing you how to reach us from the High Street if you were on foot!

You'll just need to find the Apsley House signage by the crossing near the butchers! 🚸

What is meditation? 🤔

Focused concentration, or deep contemplation on an idea or thought!

We all do it to some degree everyday, when we drive our car, when we wash the dishes.. any time we enter a flow state we essentially enter a meditative state... however deep meditation requires active participation! 🙏

Often talked about in Indian Mystic circles or even in some Mystic Christian traditions, meditating on the divine, divine names, scripture or meditating on the Logos/Christ.

In an attempt to reach a state of pure awareness or connection with the divine it is a sacred practice at heart and used by many cultures under different names.

How can It benefit me if I'm not seeking "Enlightment"? 🧘‍♂️🌅

Studies show meditation and deep meditation has a variety of benefits and is even utilised in some mental health practises in western medicine! ⚕️🏥

Some of the benefits are;

•Reduced Anxiety
•Reduced Stress
•Reduced Inflammation
•Improved focus
•Improved blood pressure
•More Self Awareness

So if youre looking to improve your health or become more mindful this year, maybe this is the year to start your journey in meditation? 🗓

Start by doing some research. There is alot of sources out there so take your time and know that even a few minutes a day is better than none at all!
