If you wanna fill your boots this Xmas, don’t let anyone tell you not to.

But if you want to be more mindful, also don’t let anyone tell you not to.

I just want to tell you that there are more options than ‘I can;t eat that I’m on a diet’...

And ‘f**k it, diet starts in January’!

I’m creating a free festive nutrition guide to help you find a better balance this year.

It’s not about discipline or cravings...

It’s about the sheer number of snacks within arm’s reach at all times.

Your environment matters.

And it’s way easier to tweak that than to suddenly develop “more willpower.”

On Monday I’m releasing my Festive Nutrition Guide to help you do exactly that.

A free training to help you find balance over Xmas

DM me ‘GO ON THEN’ and I’ll send it your way when it’s finished.

Sometimes (Soph would say most of the time) I need to chill my beans

I have a habit of overthinking everything!

I get carried away trying to be “optimal.”

With training, I want the perfect split, the exact reps, the most evidence-based running plan.

With nutrition, I’m not happy until I’ve covered every possible base.

But the longer I’ve worked in health & fitness, the more I realise:

“Optimal” is a trap.

For one, perfect doesn’t even exist, cos there are too many moving parts.

But more importantly… chasing “optimal” makes you fragile.

One slip-up and the whole thing collapses.

You miss a session → you catastrophise → you tell yourself you’ve ruined everything → you start again Monday.

(Or so I’ve heard 👀).

You start to move the needle when you chill the f**k out and just do a few things pretty well for a long time.

That’s what I help people do inside the Peak Pathway:

Strip things back.
Lower the bar.
Focus on “good enough,” not “perfect.”

Not the perfect plan.
Just a plan you can actually stick to - even when life gets messy.

You’ve got a choice…

A) Beat yourself up every time you ‘slip-up’ with your diet or training

Which leaves you feeling like s**t with no path forward.

B) Try to understand what happened with cuiosity, not judgement.

From here you can start to identify better solutions for next time.

If you want the latter, the Peak Pathway could be what you need.

No shame or guilt.

Just tools to manage the situations that keep tripping you up.

P.S. sorry about the topless geeza

I get it…

You’ve had to make work a priority to put a bit of money away.

You’ve got kids or thinking about setting up for them.

And you don’t wanna miss out on the odd time plans actually happen instead of staying in the group chat.

This means for the last few years your own health and fitness has took a back seat.

Get to then gym every now and then…

Maybe even do a Parkrun!

I can help you make your health and fitness more of a priority again.

But still being realistic about your other commitments.

Let’s have a chat and I’ll show you how it works!

Catchy name right…

If you’ve had a bit of a break from training please don’t try and pick up where you left off.

Stay humble (Haaland, E. 2024)

Your body will likely be a bit deconditioned, so you’re much better taking a few sessions to ease back in…

Rather than trying to give it the big’n and lift what you were lifting before.

Because being absolutely in bits for 4-5 days after will slow down how quickly you get back to where you were.

A few takeaways 👇

I'm 32 now, so obviously I run.

I've actually been very consistent with my running this year, and along my merry journey, I've noticed a few things.

1️⃣ My drive to eat has gone up massively, so despite regular 25+ km weeks, my weight hasn't changed.

2️⃣ Digging deep is a skill that needs to be practised.

3️⃣ Drop any expectations of what you should be doing or used to do.

4️⃣ Signing up for an event or going public with your goal works wonders for motivation.

Overall, it’s been humbling, sweaty, and oddly addictive.

If you’ve started running (or want to) but can’t stay consistent, DM me and we’ll figure out a plan that actually fits your life.

A lot of time for this.

Not gonna lie, I learn so much from listening to my clients.

Just being curious about their situations and asking questions to help them help themselves.

This ‘just get out the door’ concept is a cracker!

Actually had a social life this month!

Big night on the tooon…

Mexican night.

Some delightful food and drink out.

And weird amount of visits to the local play park for someone with no kids! (phone survived)
