What not to bring to a sound bath (part 1) - Expectations ⬇️
“I don’t think it worked for me,” is something I’ve heard people say after sound baths. (Before my training I used to think it myself sometimes!)
BUT.
There is no single way a sound bath is meant to feel.
You might feel deeply relaxed, emotional, restless, blissed out - or nothing at all.
You might see colours, drift in and out, or fall asleep.
The important thing to remember is that none of this means it ‘worked’ or ‘didn’t work’.
Sound works directly on the nervous system, often beneath conscious awareness. So even when your mind is busy or doubting, your body is still responding.
So next time you come to a sound bath, whether it’s your first or your tenth, try to release your expectations and just trust the sound to do what it needs to do ✨
