Be more YOU!

Who Is that person? Who are you when you're doing, feeling and being your best self?
This is something I have been reflecting on alot recently in my own life (now I’m nearly 30 😉)- socially, personally and in my business.
No matter what the answer is I've learnt that ultimately, it always comes down to my fundamentals of general health and well-being.

Checking in with these allow me to see what needs changing and when I'm being ME!

Have you got these things in check to help you be more YOU!
1. MENTAL HEALTH - am I checking in with myself and taking a pause if showing signs of poor mental health? Am I acknowledging when it's positive and finding ways to maintain it?
2. PHYSICAL HEALTH - am I performing the right form of exercise and movement that I enjoy to make me feel able, adequate or empowered for what life throws at me? If not why not?
3. DIET - am I eating the right balance of food with attention and intention, for both cognitive satisfaction and nourishment? Is this affecting number 1?
4. SLEEP - am I getting adequate sleep (8 hours for me) and being consistent with my routine and rituals?

Now have a think and rate yourself Bad - Good - Ok on each fundamental. Start with one thing you can do to improve on the bad followed by OK and work your way through.

If somethings not right and you're not being YOU don't ignore it, look a your fundamentals instead.

Hello and happy BLOODY Tuesday!

So one of the first things that always comes up when onboarding a new client is the age old question of "how long will it take for me to lose weight?"

As a coach, it is irresponsible for me to give an answer to these sorts of questions, as there are SO MANY factors depending on the individual that can slow down or speed up their fat loss progress.

What's difficult, restrictive, and hard to adhere to for one person, can be easy peasy lemon squeezy for another.
And if you've been following this page for a while, you'll know that I always say the best nutrition plan is the one you can ACTUALLY stick to!

So let me try again to give you a proper answer because that's what we're all here for, right?

There is one thing that I can say for certain on this topic that rings true for everyone:

Creating a SENSIBLE calorie deficit and staying in it CONSISTENTLY is 100% the quickest way to get you to where you want to be.
I emphasised the word "sensible" here because with weight loss, the first hurdle is usually getting real with ourselves and what we're able to maintain.

If your maintenance calories (the amount of calories you eat in to maintain your current weight) is something like 2,500 calories a day, and then suddenly you drop down to 1,200 calories.
Sure! This is certainly a calorie deficit and you will drop fat quickly eating this amount!
But will you be able to maintain it for long? Does eating this little make sense in your life and will it be something you can adhere to?
Probably not. Which is why every time you did this in the past, you ended back at square one.

Picking a smaller deficit will allow you to lose weight in a way where you can still enjoy your life!
And enjoying your life and not being on a miserable diet generally also allows you to be more CONSISTENT (second important word of the day)

Since launching our flagship class Gym & Slim, the class timetable has grown and expanded. At the Luke Evans Fitness Studio we now offer a extremely wide range of classes, including Box and Burn, Barbell, Beach Body, Bootcamps, HITT and Wake and Work out, to name a few.

The classes start at 6.30am for those who want to "Wake Up & Work Out", Then we offer a post school drop off class at 9.15am, perfect for busy mums.

Finishing the day with a selection of evening classes.

At the weekend we run classes on Saturday mornings.

Across the timetable there are are ladies only, men only, and mixed classes. There really is something for everyone.
