I have heard a lot of people complaining that CRUK does nothing.
Having read this research it is extremely encouraging but it also outlines the complexity of Cancer.

Three studies from Cancer Research UK's TRACERx project reveal early signs that lung cancer may spread and become untreatable.

ENDURANCE

This evening I did the same as I do every evening, I watched you.
You have yellow skin and a line that connects your body to a pump. In that Pump is Chemotherapy. Today you phoned me to let me know that the latest scan results were stable and all is as well as it can be.
On the other end of the phone i am in awe of you and thankful of the medical advances that has been achieved throughout the years, thankful that we are fortunte to have the Healthcare via the NHS.
Watching you, watching The Peaky Blinders, your hair thinned, Scars gained, Stoma formed, eye brows lost and then re-gained, eye lashes that just havent stopped growing. Your body has changed yet the personality still lights up a room. You are wearing the shirt with the roses on. I love that shirt, just another symbol of a colourful character.
We definately have to get you a christmas stoma cover!
Tonight is the late one, full of steriods you don't sleep until the early hours and I know that by the end of the week you will be shattered but you won't stop, you will carry on.
the strong person that you are.

Hi everyone.
So this page is for anyone who is or has been affected by cancer.

All I could see on other pages were patients.
Yet this disease affect so much more than the sufferers and so much more than the sufferers physicality.

It affects whole families, sometimes for generations.
Sometimes I have wondered how many cancer sufferers have outside support networks such as family and friends.
I hate the thought of a person going through this alone.

So this is the reason for the page!
Also, it's not for any specific type or form of cancer.....
We know about the forms that get the Limelight, Breast, Testicular, bowel, lung, ovarian etc....

But what about the people who's cancer forms don't make it into stats within the independent on a Monday morning?

The kidney cancer, bladder cancer, blood and bone cancer...
They have sufferers too.
So this can be either a person's venting place or a person's happy place
You can post photos of happy days and photos of bad days

It's up to you but more importantly by just having a chat, a person can help prevent mental health issues at a time when they already have so much to deal with
