It was thankfully a cooler morning today for the Lync Together Walk & Talk from Shireoaks Marina to Turnerwood along the Chesterfield Canal. A very picturesque walk and lots of interesting things to see, including several narrowboats negotiating the many locks.

Just a quick reminder of the Lync Together Walk and Talk tomorrow. We will be walking from Shireoaks Marina to Turnerwood along the Chesterfield Canal. This is a very picturesque walk if you have not done it before.

Meet at 11.00 am at Shireoaks Marina where the boats are moored. There is plenty of parking along the approach road.

The next Lync Together Walk & Talk will take place on Sunday 25th May. Meet at 11.00 am in the car park next to Kilton Forest Golf Course. This will be a longer than normal circular route passing by Scofton and Osberton Hall.

As always everyone is very welcome to join us.

Today’s Walk & Talk was to Anston Stones Wood. It was a gloriously sunny morning and the wood was filled with the sight and smell of wild garlic. It’s a lovely place to visit at any time of year but was particularly beautiful today.

Why not join us this coming Sunday 27th April for our monthly Walk & Talk? This month we are taking a circular route around Anston Stones Wood. Meet at 11.00 am at the main wood entrance off the adjacent lay-by.
