☁ Grey Monday? Let’s flip the script! ☀

Mondays often get a bad reputation – grey skies, busy inboxes, and that “where’s the weekend gone?” feeling. But here’s the thing: it’s not about the day itself, it’s about the mindset we bring to it.

A little shift in perspective can make any Monday brighter:

✨ Start with one small win (yes, finishing your cuppa before it goes cold counts!)
✨ Move your body – even a 5-minute stretch changes your energy
✨ Remind yourself: today is a fresh start, not a repeat of last week

And if stress, overwhelm, or self-doubt keep creeping in, that’s where hypnotherapy can help. Together we can train your mind to feel calmer, more motivated, and more resilient – even on the greyest of Mondays.

You deserve to feel good today, not just “when things calm down.”

📍 Sessions available in person and online – because sometimes the boost you need is just a conversation away.

Here’s to brighter Mondays 🌿

🌟 2 Years Alcohol-Free: A Message for Those Struggling 🌟

Today, I’m quietly celebrating 2 years alcohol-free. While this is a milestone I’m proud of, I also know that for many, the journey with alcohol isn’t easy. If you’re struggling - whether it’s cutting down, quitting, or even just questioning your relationship with alcohol - I see you!

Alcohol often becomes a way to numb stress, anxiety, or emotional pain. It can feel like a comfort, a relief, or even a way to connect socially. But over time, it can also take a toll - on your mental health, your relationships, and your sense of self.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in a cycle with alcohol, know this: change is possible. And you don’t have to hit rock bottom to seek support. You don’t have to do it alone.

As a hypnotherapist, I help people uncover the deeper reasons behind their drinking and find healthier ways to cope. Through gentle, effective techniques, we can work together to:

🌱 Understand Your Triggers – Identify what’s really driving your drinking habits

🧠 Reprogram Limiting Beliefs – Shift your mindset and regain control

💪 Strengthen Your Inner Resilience – Learn new ways to handle stress, anxiety, and emotions without turning to alcohol

If any of this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. Whether you’re ready to take the first step or just want to explore your options, I’m here to support you without judgment

You deserve to feel in control
You deserve to feel free. And most of all, you deserve to feel good - inside and out.

💬 Send me a message if you’d like to chat. Your journey starts here.

A little note about where you’ll find me…

I’m based at the beautiful IVY & LACE Wellness Collective, in the heart of Carlton in Lindrick, Worksop.

It’s a peaceful, welcoming space that’s perfect for the kind of work I do - calm, personal, and focused entirely on you.

If you arrive a little early for your appointment, there’s a lovely cosy café area downstairs, Birdies 98 Coffee & Cake, where you can relax with a warm drink and take a moment to unwind before your session begins. ☕🌿

I truly believe your healing starts the moment you step into the space - calm, safe, and held.
Feel free to drop me a message if you’d like to book, or just want to ask a few questions first. I’m always happy to help.

✨ Back to routine doesn’t have to mean back to stress! ✨

Summer’s over, the calendars are filling up, and suddenly we’re all trying to juggle a million things at once. Whether it’s work, uni, school runs, or just remembering what day it is again (we’ve all been there!) – getting back into routine can feel a little overwhelming.

The good news? You don’t have to do it on your own.
I work with clients both online and in person, helping you find calm, focus, and balance as you step back into “normal life.”

🌀 Hypnotherapy is a powerful way to:

✔ Ease stress and anxiety
✔ Reset your mindset
✔ Build confidence and motivation
✔ Create a routine that feels good – not draining

Think of it as hitting “refresh” for your mind.

📍 My next in-person appointment is Saturday 6th September – but don’t worry if you can’t make it, I also have online appointments available on request so you can work with me from anywhere.

Ready to feel more in control this season? Drop me a message and let’s get you back on track in the most positive way. 🌿

It’s Friday - a perfect moment to pause and celebrate how far you’ve come this week. Progress isn’t always about huge leaps; sometimes it’s the small steps, the little victories, that truly matter.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck, remind yourself: every effort counts. Even setbacks are part of the journey, teaching you and making you stronger.

Here’s a simple affirmation to carry into the weekend:
“I am proud of my progress, I trust my journey, and I am capable of achieving great things.”

Say it, believe it, and let it fuel your confidence and motivation.

If you’d like support to overcome anxiety, boost your confidence, or make positive changes, contact me to see how hypnotherapy could help you take the next step.

Ever feel that slow fade in your energy, when your brain starts hinting you ‘just need another coffee’?

Before you refill the mug, it’s worth knowing what’s really going on.

Caffeine might feel like a quick win, but here’s the catch:

It pushes your adrenal system into overdrive, giving you a ‘borrowed’ energy boost.

It can raise anxiety levels, disrupt your sleep, and actually make focus harder the next day.

Over time, your brain adjusts to the constant caffeine hits, meaning you need more for the same effect - and your natural energy flow suffers.

Instead of topping up the coffee pot, try these natural energisers:

Move your body – Just 3–5 minutes of walking, stretching, or even dancing gets blood and oxygen flowing to your brain.

Breathing reset – Use the 4-7-8 method: inhale for 4, hold for 7, exhale for 8. It calms your system and sharpens focus.

Hydrate first – Fatigue is often dehydration in disguise. A large glass of water can work faster than an espresso.

Light boost – Step outside or sit near a window. Natural light wakes up your body’s internal clock and improves alertness.

Power nap – 10–20 minutes max to restore brain function without the grogginess.
Where hypnotherapy can help:

Hypnotherapy can reprogramme the habits and thought patterns that keep you reaching for caffeine as a coping tool. It can:

Help you tune in to your body’s real needs.
Strengthen your ability to choose healthier energy habits.
Teach deep relaxation and mental focus techniques that genuinely restore energy.

Imagine getting through the day with steady, clear-headed energy - no coffee rollercoaster, no jittery highs, no 3am wide-awake moments. Your mind (and your sleep) will thank you.

We all experience that little voice inside our heads - sometimes it’s encouraging, but other times it’s overly critical.

Negative self-talk can seriously chip away at your confidence and hold you back from reaching your full potential.

Why does this happen? Often, negative self-talk stems from past experiences or fears, and it becomes an automatic response to challenges or setbacks.

Here are some simple ways to change that inner dialogue:

Notice it: Pay attention to when you’re being self-critical. Awareness is the first step.

Challenge it: Ask yourself if your negative thoughts are really true or just assumptions.

Replace it: Swap negative thoughts with positive or neutral ones. For example, change “I can’t do this” to “I’m learning and improving.”

Be kind to yourself: Treat yourself as you would a good friend - encouraging and supportive.

Practice regularly: Changing thought patterns takes time, so be patient and consistent.

Remember, your mindset shapes your reality. Shift your self-talk, and you can boost your confidence and create new opportunities.

Starting something new - whether it’s school, college, uni, or a job - can trigger anxiety, and that’s perfectly normal.

Why? Because new environments bring uncertainty, expectations, and fear of the unknown. Our brains are wired to protect us from potential threats, so when faced with big changes, they can respond with stress or worry.

Here are some ways to manage those anxious feelings:

Prepare ahead: Get to know your new environment, timetable, or role. Knowing what to expect reduces fear of the unknown.

Set small goals: Break tasks into manageable steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

Practise self-care: Get enough sleep, eat balanced meals, and make time for relaxation or hobbies.

Reach out: Talk to friends, family, or colleagues about how you’re feeling - you’re not alone.

Focus on the present: Try mindfulness or breathing exercises to stay calm and grounded.

Remember, feeling anxious is your brain adjusting to change. With time and these strategies, you’ll build confidence and find your rhythm.

Coming back from a holiday often means jet lag, disrupted sleep, and a body clock that feels out of sync. This can leave you feeling drained and foggy - even after the relaxing break you needed!

Here’s a quick sleep hypnosis tip to help you reset your internal clock and restore restful, energising sleep:

Before bed, try this simple exercise:

Close your eyes and take slow, deep breaths. Visualise a calming wave gently washing over you - with each breath, imagine your body sinking deeper into relaxation. Repeat a soothing phrase like, “I am calm, I am safe, I am ready to rest.” This primes your subconscious to release stress and prepare for deep sleep.

Why does this help? Because hypnotherapy techniques like this gently retrain your mind to let go of travel-related stress and invite natural, restorative sleep. Better sleep = better mood, sharper focus, and more energy to enjoy your days post-holiday.

Try it tonight and wake up feeling refreshed, ready to step back into your routine with ease and calm.

Sweet dreams and smooth resets!

Coming back from holiday can feel a bit like waking up from the best dream… only to remember your inbox exists. That post-holiday slump is real - your mind still wants sunsets and lie-ins, but your to-do list says otherwise.

Here’s the good news: your brain is highly adaptable. With the right tools, you can shift from ‘holiday haze’ into focused, motivated action - without losing the sense of calm you gained while you were away.

This is where hypnotherapy can help. Through targeted sessions, we can:

Reignite motivation by reprogramming the subconscious with positive, energising associations to work and daily tasks.

Sharpen focus so you feel more productive and less scattered.

Reduce procrastination triggers and strengthen your ability to follow through.

I’m right there with you - after my own recent break, I’m gently getting back into my work/life rhythm too.

I’m keeping the best bits of my holiday mindset (patience, perspective, and more tea breaks) while using my favourite hypnotherapy techniques to boost my drive and clarity.

If you’re feeling the slump, imagine what it would be like to start each day with the same lightness and clarity you felt on your best holiday mornings - but with the focus to actually get things done. That’s what’s possible when you work with your subconscious instead of against it.
