NECK PAIN WITH MEDIAN NERVE IMPINGEMENT TREATMENT AND RELEASE:

This treatment addressed the structures that were producing severe sharp shooting arm/ hand / finger pain.

Testing identified that the scalene muscles, 1st rib and C7T1 vertebral segments were involved.

Treatment modalities were applied to each of the dysfunctional structures, freeing the impingement of the nerve and decreasing pain.

Adjustments were provided to open the intervertebral foramen which are the doorway for the exiting spinal nerves

Adjustment to the 1st rib and soft tissue release of the Scalenes were applied to reduce impingement in the thoracic outlet.

Finally nerve glides of the Median Nerve were performed to reduce tension along the pathway of the nerve.

The pain suffered by patients' with nerve impingements make them some of the most satisfying to treat. 😊

HANDS-ON SHOULDER TREATMENT

I use multiple hands-on techniques when treating shoulder complaints.

MANIPULATIONS AND MOBILISATIONS are used to restore full movement to the shoulder joint.

LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY is applied to the damaged tissues prior to utilizing ACTIVE RELEASE TECHNIQUE, TRIGGER POINT THERAPY, MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUES and INSTRUMENT ASSISTED SOFT TISSUE MASSAGE.

These hands-on treatments work in conjunction with rehabilitation exercises to maximise your shoulder recovery

My aim is to create a stronger more durable shoulder for longer term satisfaction.

Treatment for Shin Splints

Shin splints are referred to as pain or tenderness along the long bone of the shin. Muscles often involved are Tibialis Anterior Extensor Digatorum Longus or Tibialis Posterior.

Shin Splints are treated with a combination of:
-Active Release Technique
-Low Level Laser Therapy
-Strengthening and Stretching Exercises
-Dry Needling
-Massage

Active Release Technique (ART) is an advanced examination and treatment system which involves a combination of precise tensioning and movement to break down scar tissue and adhesions in muscles, tendons, ligaments and other soft tissues.

The effectiveness of ART lies in its ability to specifically identify and then eliminate soft tissue restrictions which limit flexibility and cause pain.

ART has become an integral treatment utilised here at the clinic with brilliant results.

My favourite two basic neck strengthening exercises.

Resistance bands are perfect for strengthening necks.

Always strengthen the tissues around and involved in an injury to avoid future problems. 💪

As well as hands on soft tissue therapy we also use IASTM tools to treat muscular complaints. It looks painful and medieval but trust us it's not.😊

The benefits of IASTM therapy include:
Relieve pain from soft tissue injuries.
Improve blood flow.
Decrease muscle spasms.
Promote tissue healing from injuries.

There are many causes of stiffness and loss of movement ( immobility, tight muscle, restricted joint function, inflammation, degenerative joint disease) but treatment can help restore movement and allieviate pain associated with it.😊💃🕺
