I recently worked with a client who spends their life holding the weight of others' needs and emotions. This work, while profoundly important, can slowly drain your own energy. "I tried watsu with Molly , I was sceptical but I’m am trying alternative therapies to help me with fibromyalgia,cfs,autoimmune disease, lipedema,dystonia, chronic pain , all of which leave me having to use a wheelchair at times , I usually do massage but as soon as I was in the water I felt relaxed with Molly , I can’t usually relax and my mind is always busy, but I felt free with nothing going on in my mind which continued after , my body felt amazing after something I would like more of , I highly recommend trying watsu"

I had the honor of working with Ms. S, a woman bravely living with fibromyalgia, CFS, autoimmune disease, lipedema, dystonia, and chronic pain. At first, she was so tight and stiff, her body holding on to years of pain. But as I held her, she found a moment of profound trust. Lying in my arms, she experienced the weightlessness and security of a baby. Her breathing deepened, a smile appeared, and her whole body softened. Seeing her find that moment of peace was a beautiful reminder of the healing power of Watsu.

Seeing is Believing: The Power of Watsu

This is a beautiful example of the changes that can happen during a Watsu session. This is Miss A, and this was her second session with me. She came in with a lot of tension in her back and felt unbalanced, which was something her regular massage therapist had also noticed.

At the beginning of our session, as her body began to relax, it revealed just how much tension she was holding. Her lower body leaned to the left while her upper body rotated to the right, causing her to lie in a twisted "L" shape.

As we continued, her body began to let go of the tightness. By the end of the session, her muscles had released so much tension that she was able to relax completely, lying straight and balanced in the water, like a perfect "I."

I'm so thrilled to see this kind of shift in just one session and even more happy that she feels more balanced and released.
