So yesterday evening, I'm working on my Tarot book ... writing a chapter on the Aces. Aces are the 'Gifts' of the deck, when something comes to you out of the blue that you don't have to ask for, or work for, it almost falls into your lap.
At that very moment .... my daughter walks through the front door and says "mum, someone's dumped a table outside" - on the grass verge, literally outside our house. I march out there, angry that someone could be so thoughtless and irresponsible, expecting to see an old piece of junk and there is the most gorgeous little oval pine gate leg table lying on its side. It has to be broken surely, for them to dump such a lovely thing, but no ... we open it up in the kitchen and it works perfectly.
So while writing a chapter on Aces/Gifts - I acquire a beautiful little table. As someone who loves to upcycle, this is the perfect gift for me, and I can't wait to get started on it.
I might even use it for my tarot readings.
