Our dance group is growing! 💃🕺

This week we welcomed some lovely new faces, and we hope to see them again soon. Today’s session was all about the Boogie, with classic songs that had everyone dancing and singing along. 🎶✨

Anne, our cleaning hero! 🧹✨

After tea today, Anne kindly asked if she could help sweep up—and of course we weren’t going to say no! Off she went, getting straight to work.

But Anne didn’t stop there… after sweeping the kitchen and dining room, she went on to wipe down the surfaces and even helped with the recycling later on. ♻️👏

We’re thrilled to share that five beautiful butterflies have emerged from their chrysalises! Residents were overjoyed to see them, as our wonderful activities team took them around on her trolley so everyone could get a closer look. 💛✨

We kicked off our Easter weekend in style with the ultimate Easter Quiz! 🐣🌷

Our keen quiz club were out in full force, and it was fantastic to welcome a few new faces joining in the fun. With three rounds and 15 questions in each, teams were ready to put their knowledge to the test—especially with some egg-cellent prizes up for grabs! 🍫🥚

The competition was close, with just 15 points separating last place from first, and every team did brilliantly. But taking the top spot with an incredible 41 out of 45 was our winning duo… Anne and Dot! 🎉

Their Easter knowledge truly knows no bounds! Well done, ladies—enjoy your well-earned sweet treats! 💛

🌿✨ Celebrating a magical moment at Avocet House! ✨🌿

We are absolutely delighted to share some wonderful news — our very first butterfly has officially emerged! 🦋

This beautiful moment happened just moments ago, and we were lucky enough to capture a few photos right after she made her debut. Watching this transformation unfold has been truly special for everyone here.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there… we are now eagerly awaiting the arrival of the remaining eight butterflies as they begin their own incredible journeys.

We’re delighted to share a fantastic line-up of activities happening this April, and we’d love for you to join us. There’s something for everyone, so bring your friends, family, and plenty of enthusiasm—everyone is warmly welcome! 💛

Kick off the month with the Clearer Productions Spring-Themed Show 🌷 Enjoy a wonderful celebration of the season filled with music, colour, and uplifting performances that are sure to put a smile on your face.

📅 16th April – ABBA Day! 🎤🕺
Get ready to travel back to the groovy 70s! Dress up in your best retro outfits and join us for an afternoon of singing and dancing to all your favourite 70s and ABBA hits.
Afterwards, relax and socialise with a delicious buffet tea. Costumes encouraged—let’s make it a day to remember! ✨

A lovely opportunity to come together, reflect, and enjoy a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

📅 24th April – Myley Trip to Frampton Marsh 🌿
We’re heading out for a special trip to Frampton Marsh—perfect for enjoying nature and good company.
⚠️ Places are limited, so please make sure you’ve spoken to Lorraine if you’d like to attend and support this trip.
