4 key elements to any race performance are your training programme, your strength training, your nutrition and your recovery. If any one of those is neglected, your whole race plan could go out the window.

My unique business offers a one stop shop for all of these things, so get in contact with me if you think you’re not optimising every aspect of your race preparation! ☺️💪🏻

We are now past the point where most people have quit their New Years Resolutions, so if you’re still going, well done!
New habits become so much harder once we’re back in the chaos of normal life, so if your motivation has started to waver, you’re not alone!

This is your gentle nudge that you CAN do it, you just need to stick with it a little longer until it becomes second nature. And don’t hesitate to reach out for help if you need some pointers to keep you on the right track!

Rest alone won’t fix most injuries, especially when those injuries are due to weakness, poor movement or under-recovery.
The right plan will.

✔️ You need rehab that works on your weaknesses and keeps you moving in the right ways.
✔️ You need the right nutrition to fuel your healing.
✔️ You need a structure that pushes you forward at the right pace.

Don’t just wait around getting more frustrated when the pain lingers. Make a plan that will see you succeed 💪🏻

If you’re setting resolutions this year, think about a course of action you can actually stick to for more than a couple of weeks. Change only comes about through consistency, so what actions do you want to keep doing long after that initial new year motivation has worn off?

And it’s also ok to not set any resolutions! Just because everyone else seems to be setting them, doesn’t mean you have to: live your own life!

I’m on hand if you need help with exercise programming, nutrition demystifying or injury support!

If you’re someone who thrives on routine, and stresses about what Christmas does to your eating and exercise habits, then listen up! 👇🏻

If sticking to a routine with your food and movement works for you, then do it. Focus on foods and exercise that makes you happy.

If following your normal exercise and nutrition plan is just not possible with all the festive activities, then don’t panic!

From Christmas until New Year makes up 1.92% of the entire year, so one week off plan is most likely going to give your body the break it deserves and see you coming back healthier, happier and more focused in January, compared to trying to squeeze everything in, or restricting yourself unnecessarily.

Most important of all, enjoy the time with your loved ones and look forward to a great year ahead!

There are a lot of really good online fitness plans available nowadays, which is a brilliant way of getting more people active 💪🏻

But the main problem is that they’re not personalised specifically to you; they’re often a generic programme that fits your end goal, but doesn’t account for your individual abilities, likes & dislikes and time schedule.

If you want a tailor-made programme that gives you someone to be accountable to, who will adapt your programme as you go along, taking into account personal preferences and injury considerations, online exercise coaching is your perfect answer!

Working 1-1 with a coach improves motivation and consistency, ultimately making you more likely to achieve sustainable healthy lifestyle improvements 👌🏻

I have a handful of online coaching slots available for the New Year, so contact me to discuss your specific needs and what you want to achieve!

It’s only two weeks til Christmas! 🎄🔔❄️
Having some much needed time off from the hustle of normal life will help to reduce our stress levels, but you can encourage even more relaxation and recovery by getting out in the fresh air, eating nourishing foods, staying hydrated and achieving good quality, consistent sleep patterns.

Your body has worked hard all year, so make sure you focus on physical recovery over the festive period, just as much as mental recovery 👌🏻

Plantar Fasciitis is a very common cause of foot pain, and affects around 1 in 10 adults at some point in their lives.
It’s a frustrating condition, but with consistent strength exercises, and correctly managing your load, you will see improvements. There’s more effective rehab options for PF than ice massage and stretching; you need to strengthening your feet and legs so they can support your body effectively.
