This morning I’ve been trialling an office space in preparation for the next academic year.

For the last couple of years, my “office” has been the second bedroom at home. Thanks to the growth of Restart Tuition – and the amazing support from our parents – we’re now able to invest back into providing the best possible experience for our learners. That’s always at the heart of what we do.

We might even be able to offer 1-1 sessions from here soon! (Watch this space)

Our in-person group spaces are filling up fast, with some groups already close to capacity. If you’d like to secure a place, get in touch today:

Birth Trauma Support & Recovery
Case study required

If you have experienced a traumatic event during the perinatal period, which is having an unwelcome impact on your day-to-day life, then I believe I can help.
I am studying with the TBR (Traumatic Birth Recovery) College of Perinatal Emotional Health to deliver a brief intervention, The 3 Step Rewind, which aims to neutralise the symptoms of trauma leading to a more joyful, positive future self. More information can be found here https://traumaticbirthrecovery.com/
I am Sue Read and I have been a midwife for 23years. I am currently training to better support parents, family and staff who have experienced a difficult or traumatic event along the childbearing journey. This may include fertility issues, miscarriage or later loss, an antenatal, birth or postnatal event and is for whether you experienced it first hand or were witness to events.
What to expect
Step1: Approximately 90 minutes
You can share as much or as little of your story as you wish but
the focus will be on how the trauma has impacted on your
day-to-day life and what you want the future to look like.
An explanation of the Rewind process, if we haven’t discussed
this already.
A relaxation exercise with a recording to take home and use to
practice relaxation before the next session

Step 2: Approximately 60 minutes, 1 week after Step 1
Go through the 3 Step Rewind Process using a relaxed
state.

Step 3: Approximately 30 minutes, 10-14 days after Step 2
Review how you have been since Step 2 and looking at the
positive changes you have noticed. You will have a further
relaxation exercise which will enable you to see yourself in the
future, feeling confident and happy. 😊

As my ‘case study’ I would like you to commit to completing the 3 Step Rewind process but this would only be after a full conversation of what is on offer, what the aims of the process are and that you feel ready to take part. At the time we start, at least 8 weeks needs to have passed since the traumatic event.
If you would like to discuss if this is something you would be interested in, please DM me or call 07870 362868.
