🎵 About Sound Lab Yeovil 🎶
Sound Lab Yeovil is a fun, interactive music-making programme for young people aged 14+ with neurological differences and/or have learning disabilities. Our inclusive sessions will enable you to explore music-making, express your inner musicality and have fun through improvisation, songwriting, music technology, instrumental performance and games using traditional instrumentation and accessible technologies.

Sessions are predominantly aimed at those looking to get started on their musical journey or seeking to collaborate with others to bring their ideas to life. They also provide a chance to connect with and socialise with people outside of your normal network.

When: 4.30pm to 5.45pm on Tuesdays during term time
Where: Westlands Entertainment Venue, BA20 2DD

I've just seen there is a new support group for Aphasia in Yeovil which will be running on the 3rd Thursday of the month at Potter House Care Home from 10-12. I thought I'd post it here in case anyone knows someone who might benefit from it:

Our very first Yeovil Prostate Cancer Support Group meeting!

We operate as part of the charity Tackle Prostate Cancer and are a voluntary, patient led, peer support group.
We are completely inclusive and open to anyone who has been on their own Prostate Cancer journey.
Your friends and family are welcome too.
Come along and share your experiences, ask questions of people with a common connection or just sit and listen and enjoy some new company (and a cup of tea😉).

Good morning 👋
Tomorrow we are holding our next Armed Forces Outreach meet up at The Gateway in Yeovil from 1330 to 1530. If you are a member of the Armed Forces Community (serving, reservist, veteran or a family member) and you would like to meet with other members of the military community, then why not come along. The Armed Forces Hubs will be there along with representatives from the NHS, ex-military and community support agencies.
It would be great to see you for a brew and a chat, but if you have a specific query or issue, this could be the place to get some initial advice. No booking required as this is an informal drop in. We look forward to seeing you 😊
