Kambo is the toxic secretion of the Phyllomedusa Bicolor frog (or Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog), found in the Upper Amazon. Numerous indigenous Amazonian tribes have for generations collected these secretions, traditionally using them for hunting to increase mental & physical strength and stamina, medicinally to treat malaria, infection and snake bites and as a way of clearing dark and negative en
ergy referred to as 'Panema'. The frogs are treated with great care and respect when being harvested, so as not to anger the animal spirits, and only the first secretion is taken to ensure the frog retains enough to defend itself from predators. As awareness of Kambo spreads outside of the rainforest conventional medicine has become increasingly interested in the chemical makeup of the secretion, which contains a potent cocktail of Peptides and Bioactive Peptides, which researchers believe have the capability to be used in the treatment of a broad range of illness ranging from Cancer, HIV and Parkinson's Disease to Addictions, Depression and Diabetes.
