My journey to becoming a counselor has been a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of never giving up on your dreams. Since I was a teenager, I’ve had a deep passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind and a desire to help others through the field of psychology. Determined to carve out my own path and create opportunities for myself, I made a bold decision at the age of 22 to leave my home country of Spain and immerse myself in a new language – English. Working in various sectors to learn the language and culture, I began to gain confidence and discover my own resilience. A few years later, with a strong sense of determination, I decided to pursue counseling and I embarked on a journey to fulfill my lifelong dream. Today, I stand proud as a qualified counselor but my path has been marked by personal struggles with anxiety that have profoundly shaped my journey. As someone who has battled anxiety firsthand, I bring a unique perspective and profound empathy to my counseling practice, understanding intimately the challenges and victories involved in managing anxiety. Whether you're grappling with panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, social anxiety, or any other manifestations of anxiety, I'm here to support you. I offer not only professional knowledge but also personal experience and understanding of what it means to overcome anxiety's hurdles.

I took this picture during Summer 2O22 - This trip truly helped me to connect with my wildest self. Surrounded by nature, and living a very different lifestyle to the one I could have in Spain or the UK.

In a world that tells you to keep going, sunsets whisper that it’s okay to slow down.
It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to feel. It’s okay to start again tomorrow.

🍂 September often feels like a second January; a chance to start new projects, finish old resolutions, and make the last months of the year “count.”

But not everyone feels that way. Some of us look around and feel behind. Like everyone else is moving forward with new energy, while we’re just trying to keep up.

There’s no “right” way to do life. Your pace is valid. Your season of life is valid. Even if you’re not starting something new, you are still growing in ways you might not see yet.

September doesn’t have to mean starting over; it can mean rest, reflection, and taking gentle steps to care for yourself.

This cosy little workshop is all about taking a mindful pause; time to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Together we’ll enjoy:

✨ Mindful exercises & reflections using cards
✨ Simple journaling prompts
✨ A cosy group moment (sharing optional!)

Have you ever felt completely crushed by a small rejection?

Or avoided being yourself in case someone didn’t approve?

The fear of rejection is real and it’s often rooted in early experiences where love or acceptance didn’t feel guaranteed.

The good news is, this fear can be unlearned.

- I have a phobia of needles.
- I love dancing.
- I love both cats and dogs, but I'll always be a dog person.
- I have generalised anxiety disorder and some days are more challenging than others.
- I'm from Toledo, Spain (gorgeous place, check it out), adopted by Madrid for 18 years and by York for another 10, and counting.
- I recharge my batteries by being around people I care about.
- I still struggle to identify what my hobbies are.
- My favourite colour is blue.
- I can't talk without using my hands.
- I love connecting with people on a deeper level.
- I love cooking (and eating).
- Talking about eating... chocolate; ANY kind of chocolate.
- When I first came to England I ended up doing a job I wasn't prepared for because somehow I passed the interview by smiling and saying yes to everything.

How many times have you panicked thinking that there was something genuinely wrong with you after dealing with all those REAL symptoms?

It is anxiety. Nothing is wrong with you. But let me tell you something: anxiety can be debilitating.
It can make you weak, scared or even 'paranoid', and that's because all those symptoms that you are experiencing are REAL. That's your body reacting, your body trying to talk to you using the only way it knows, which is through physical and mental discomfort.
