My journey to becoming a counselor has been a testament to resilience, determination, and the power of never giving up on your dreams. Since I was a teenager, I’ve had a deep passion for understanding the complexities of the human mind and a desire to help others through the field of psychology. Determined to carve out my own path and create opportunities for myself, I made a bold decision at the age of 22 to leave my home country of Spain and immerse myself in a new language – English. Working in various sectors to learn the language and culture, I began to gain confidence and discover my own resilience. A few years later, with a strong sense of determination, I decided to pursue counseling and I embarked on a journey to fulfill my lifelong dream. Today, I stand proud as a qualified counselor but my path has been marked by personal struggles with anxiety that have profoundly shaped my journey. As someone who has battled anxiety firsthand, I bring a unique perspective and profound empathy to my counseling practice, understanding intimately the challenges and victories involved in managing anxiety. Whether you're grappling with panic attacks, intrusive thoughts, social anxiety, or any other manifestations of anxiety, I'm here to support you. I offer not only professional knowledge but also personal experience and understanding of what it means to overcome anxiety's hurdles.

✨ Get to know your therapist ✨

- I have a phobia of needles.
- I love dancing.
- I love both cats and dogs, but I'll always be a dog person.
- I have generalised anxiety disorder and some days are more challenging than others.
- I'm from Toledo, Spain (gorgeous place, check it out), adopted by Madrid for 18 years and by York for another 10, and counting.
- I recharge my batteries by being around people I care about.
- I still struggle to identify what my hobbies are.
- My favourite colour is blue.
- I can't talk without using my hands.
- I love connecting with people on a deeper level.
- I love cooking (and eating).
- Talking about eating... chocolate; ANY kind of chocolate.
- When I first came to England I ended up doing a job I wasn't prepared for because somehow I passed the interview by smiling and saying yes to everything.

If you’ve ever felt like you’re healing… then not healing… then maybe going backwards; you’re not alone.

Healing is not a straight line.
It’s messy. It loops. It brings up old stuff just when you think you’ve sorted it.

But here’s the truth: every time you pause and reflect, every time you show up with honesty; you are healing.

Progress doesn’t always look like confidence or peace.
Sometimes, it looks like just noticing your patterns… or choosing a slightly kinder response.

Remember you will never be in square one, because what you have learnt, cannot be "unlearnt".

Therapy can help you make sense of it all - so that healing feels less lonely, and more supported.

Anxiety isn’t always just “worrying too much.”

For me, it looked like:
👉 Feeling like the world wasn’t real (derealisation)
👉 Panic attacks that felt life-threatening
👉 Dizziness so intense I stopped seeing friends or going into the office for work
👉 Endless GP tests — all fine, but I was convinced something was wrong
👉 Sitting in the bath at 3am, desperate to calm down

If you recognise yourself in this, you’re not alone. Anxiety can show up in ways we don’t always expect; but it can get better.

How many times have you panicked thinking that there was something genuinely wrong with you after dealing with all those REAL symptoms?

It is anxiety. Nothing is wrong with you. But let me tell you something: anxiety can be debilitating.
It can make you weak, scared or even 'paranoid', and that's because all those symptoms that you are experiencing are REAL. That's your body reacting, your body trying to talk to you using the only way it knows, which is through physical and mental discomfort.
