People we support in York have created their latest flip book and this time it’s Cinderella! The group worked together to develop the storyboards then brought it to life through photography and acting, and designed the front and back cover.

It's lots of fun and lots of new skills are learnt along the way.

This week's bake, made, filmed and edited by the Wacky Wednesday Group in York, is Chocolate Easter Nests!

If you'd like to make these too over the weekend, the ingredients are:

225 g milk chocolate
2 tbs (40g) creamy peanut butter
2 cups of cornflakes
125 g mini Easter eggs to decorate

The 'Wacky Wednesday Group' in York loves to bake and lately they have been filming their recipes to share them with you.

Recipe for cake mix cookies:
½ cup of unsalted Butter
1 cup of Sugar
3 large eggs
1 ½ cups of Self-raising flour
1 ¾ tsp of Baking powder
2 tsp of Vanilla extract
Lots of sprinkles!!

This morning some of the ladies from the Bootshop women's health group visited the mobile breast screening unit in Easingwold. They were shown the x ray machine used and the staff there talked them through what would happen during an appointment, hopefully relieving any anxieties about these checks and recognising how important they are. Thankyou to the breast screening service allowing us to visit.

This is the outcome of last week's "Friday Fun Group" in York. Each week, the group decides what to work on - it could be drama, baking, craft, photography, something creative like this - or just some feel-good pampering!

For this project, the group chose the story to work on and who was going to represent each character. They created a storyboard and then took the photos in front of a green-screen. They then rewrote the original story to match the images, chose the backgrounds and the design for the book.

It's lots of fun, and lots of new skills are learnt along the way and great friendships as well.

For The Base & Autism Hubs Arts and Craft topic we have been looking at animals around the world. From Australian marsupials to Canadian moose. Our display has attracted a lot of interest from everyone at Tang Hall Explore where we are based.
