If 2025 was the year of protein, 2026 is going to be the year of fibre.

Read the following blog to find out why it's crucial for good health and how you can include more into your daily diet.

Fibre is one of those nutrients that often flies under the radar, yet it plays a vital role in keeping our bodies healthy. While it doesn’t grab headlines like protein or vitamins, fibre quietly supports digestion, heart health and overall wellbeing. The good news? Including more fibre in your die...

Functional testing available in clinic to get to the root cause of your symptoms.

Dutch testing for hormones, GI360 stool testing for the gut microbiome and a thyroid blood test. These are the ones I run the most.

I can arrange for testing, plus a 75 minute consultation to go through the results and to give you a comprehensive plan on what to do next.

Contact me via the website if you’d like to find out more or to book.

Spent a lovely hour this morning with Holly Cottage Holistics meeting Tinsel the turkey, Dora - the very friendly chicken and several ducks and geese. And my kitchen now smells beautiful, thanks to the signature candle. Would highly recommend if you're in the York area, there are some lovely products, loads of creams, sprays and facial oils and all are made with natural products so no nasties on the skin. Thank you Jennifer for showing us around - we loved it! 🪿🦆🪿

Read my latest blog below on how you can help yourself have a good night's sleep ⬇️

A good night’s sleep is one of the most powerful foundations for overall health and wellbeing. Yet for many people, high-quality sleep feels increasingly difficult to achieve. Modern lifestyles, screens, stress and shifting hormones can all affect how rested we feel. The good news? Small, consiste...

Keeping healthy during the winter months can sometimes be difficult with coughs and colds being passed around but with some simple nutrition and lifestyle changes, you should be able to keep you and your family well over the colder months.

Read all about it in the blog below ⬇️

As the days grow shorter and temperatures drop, many of us notice our energy levels dipping and those familiar winter sniffles appearing. While winter can be cosy and enjoyable, it also places extra demands on our immune system. Thankfully, there are plenty of simple, practical steps you can take to...

Aren’t these Christmas cards lovely? We lost our beautiful Alfie in May and when I saw these, I just had to have them 🥹

I’m going to the sunshine for a couple of weeks so although buying Christmas cards now does seem a little early, when I’m back in the UK, it will nearly be December so I wanted to be organised.

If you have a dog (or cat), I’d highly recommend having a look! @ Pet Portrait Illustration 😁

Because it's Halloween on Friday (how fast is this year going??..) I thought I'd post some spooky food inspiration. Perfect for children, grandchildren and 'grown up' children 😉

The bell peppers are so easy to do. Simply cut the tops off, scrap out the seeds and pith and carve your 'face'. Then fill with whatever filling you fancy and bake in the oven for around 30-35 minutes.

I did a chilli filling with mince beef for the red peppers (try not to put any liquid into the pepper with the filling or you could end up with a 'nose bleed' situation as I did 😆) and for the yellow peppers, I chose a veggie option of quinoa, edamame beans, feta cheese and sun dried tomatoes but you could use a veggie rice/couscous/orzo pasta with pesto, beans, spring onions etc, whatever you fancy.

And the biscuits, a very simple recipe which included some peanut butter, decorated with melted chocolates - because life is all about balance. I always aim for the 80/20 rule with eating and consistency is more important than restrictions.

Happy Halloween everyone!

First time trying reformer Pilates and it’s harder than it looks! Really enjoyed it though and will be doing it again soon. I’ve done Pilates and yoga for years but had been wanting to try this for ages. Anyone else tried reformer? Brilliant for building and strengthening muscles 💪🏻

If anyone is feeling the 'chills' at the moment, this lovely herbal remedy could really help to warm you. It's also really comforting if you have a cold. Full of antioxidants, it can help with reducing inflammation, supporting your blood sugar levels and aids digestion - definitely worth trying!
