Important thought for this week! Feeling like quitting is totally understandable, expected at times.

We can't feel a consistently high level of motivation all the time and let's face it, sometimes things just feel really tough!

But at those points, if we can reconnect with what motivated us in the first place, I feel this can give us a power-up and the window of opportunity to get the support we need.

I do love a bit of baking, and with Valentine’s Day coming it has got me thinking all about love. What it means to love ourselves specifically- well I think it involves nourishing ourselves with whole, nutritious food, but balancing this with the foods that might not be classed as nutritious in the traditional sense!

Moderation can be the hardest thing, but truly the healthiest. Would you like to guess how many points are in these lovelies? 😊

This month, we're excited to dive into how our habits and past experiences have helped shape who we are today!

We'll take a closer look at what changes we want to make, what we’d like to hold onto, and how we can make it all happen together.
Having non-negotiables gives you a solid baseline, your “no matter what” habits that keep you grounded and moving forward, even on tough days. Pairing that with an if/then strategy gives you a backup plan before you even need it. “If X happens, then I’ll do Y.”

Come to your workshop this week to learn more about implementation intentions and how to create an “if/then” guideline ahead of time so you can avoid being in a situation where you need to spend a lot of energy deciding what to do in the moment.

Loved in workshops this week really tuning into our "why" - the heart of what fuels us and the sat-nav that guides us in the right direction. We were condensing that down into a word that can anchor us to our motivation even when the going gets tough! So excited, this year we will begin a new collective challenge in our York workshops! Last year, together we conquered Land's End to John o' Groats (and back again!), The Scottish Coast 500, Orient Express, Route 66, York - Lapland and when that wasn't enough we went all the way to the North Pole in the Snowman Challenge 🤣.

This year begins with the epic Pacific Crest Trail 🤩

I absolutely believe in meeting people where they are - so any and ALL activity counts for these challenges (we are using a rough approximation of 30 mins of anything, from stretching to Zumba to kickboxing= 1 mile). Ticking off little boxes as we go, if you would like to take part come along to one of my workshops to find out more.

Let's see how many challenges we can conquer this year!

I am so thrilled in April 2026 I will be celebrating 10 years as a WW coach and ohh my I have seen such changes in my time - definitely not been all smooth sailing (pandemic anyone 😫).

I know, and first hand, what a difference a supportive community and a place of understanding can make. How belief can come from within and without, how big a challenge it is to recognise what is within your control and to accept what isn't.

Change, and big, dramatic change, is definitely possible - though it is still very weird to me looking at my then pics compared to now. I'm so proud of every member who shows up and brings their own piece of magic to our community ❤

We had an absolute ball at our WW Christmas party last night!! Celebrating friendship and our amazing community and showing how being healthy doesn't have to mean deprivation and resentment.

Wine and cake were consumed (among other things - but not sprouts, for me anyway 🤣🤣).

I am so honoured and proud to be not just a coach, but part of this wonderful supportive group! Hoping every one who steps into my workshops has a wonderful Christmas 🥳

Some sage Chinese philosophy that I feel can apply so well to our modern day lives! I think we can tend to feel we have to do it all at once, change everything and "be perfect". Actually viewing changes as smaller bite size "stones" can be really helpful; maybe we leave a few stones behind but when you think about it that mountain is changed if we only start by moving a few stones 🤔
