I have been a Personal Trainer for over 5 years and I am based near Harome, North Yorkshire. I am passionate about keeping the body strong and stretched, no matter what your age or ability there are progressions, modifications and adaptations so everyone can take part. I specialise in two contrasting areas but that also fit together well! Pilates - I am currently expanding my knowledge from a leve
l 3 by training for my Level 4 mat based and Exercise Therapy qualification, this will help me to help more people with specific injuries and pain to get on the road to recovery. Weight Lifting - where I hold a British Weight Lifting qualification. Along with that I am qualified in;
- Pre & Post Natal - Having helped several ladies to continue training up until a week before birth and return 6 weeks after.
- Exercise Referral trained - I can work with people and prescribe a programme safely and effectively for those whom have specific medical conditions.
- Older Populations - over 65, knowing the physiological changes that the body goes through as we age and how to deliver safe exercise.
- Childrens Fitness and Pilates Instructor - before Covid-19 I ran childrens classes and taught in schools.
- Sports Nutrition - I can advise on food choices, calorie intake and habitual changes - I am not a dietician so cannot prescribe food plans but we can discuss options and ways to change.
- Exercise to Music, Padwork, Kettlebells, Spinning
Since March and the Coronavirus pandemic like many other trainers I have started teaching classes online via ZOOM, I am pleased to say that these will continue alongside my 1:1 and small group training sessions.
