I’m Eliza Phoenix — a psychology student (CertEd) and the founder of Gentle Roots Coaching
This page is a quiet space for reflection, healing and growth. A place for soft reminders, nervous-system kindness, trauma-informed insights and gentle encouragement for anyone who has carried more than they should have had to.
I write from both study and lived experience — because some lessons are learned in books, and some are learned by surviving.
I’m also the author of You Are Not Broken — a book written for anyone who has ever felt damaged by what they’ve been through, struggled with shame, or wondered why healing feels so hard. It’s a reminder that your responses make sense, your pain is valid, and you were never broken to begin with.
Here at Gentle Roots, I believe healing doesn’t have to be loud or forceful. It can be slow. It can be soft. It can grow in its own time.
