Silence and repeating mantra is the true soul of meditation, honouring the 5000 year old tradition.
We have westernised meditation to fit the way we live in the 21st century.
We are not monks and sages free to contemplate the questions of life and sit in gratitude of all its wonder.
We have transformed meditating into a science, attempting to explain & understand how it affects the human nervous system, changes behaviour and lessens the effects of our stress.
And this is a good thing, adapting ancient wisdom to work for us in a modern world.
But still, the deep essence of meditating is spiritual and unexplainable and all meditators will be witness to something sacred and beautiful and special in moments of pure meditation.
That elusive moment when time stands still and everything feels exactly as it should. Something you cannot really explain to others, simply a personal experience.
I try to expand on this ancient wisdom in my ✨deepening your meditation practice✨course. Space is still available starting Jan 28. An opportunity to delve deeper into the art of meditating, looking at the history & science and daily meditations to help you consolidate your practice. Message me for all the details.
Also, this year I am offering monthly relaxation gatherings, dedicated to deep rest in guided meditation. An opportunity to sink a little deeper into your meditation/ mindfulness practice.
We will take a different theme each month, & incorporate the ancient wisdom into our guided meditation.
I’m deeply touched that these sessions have been popular so far, sharing the specialness of real relaxation is such a pleasure. The next session is Wednesday 25 February, please message me to sign up.
Always grateful for everyone’s support,
Debbie, 🤍
