"Success Story: Madam S.A's Life-Changing Surgery

We're thrilled to share the latest success story from Generational Health Foundation.

On May 5th, 2024, our team performed a total abdominal hysterectomy on madam S.A, a 44-year-old petty trader from Sokoban in the Ashanti region.

She had been suffering from abnormal and heavy menstrual bleeding for over two years, leading to frequent hospital admissions. Despite her efforts, she couldn't afford the definitive treatment she needed.

But thanks to our dedicated team and volunteer efforts, She was identified and assessed, and we were able to provide her with the life-changing surgery she deserved.

Today, she is recovering well at Poku Transport Hospital, and we're overjoyed to see her on the path to a healthier, happier life.

We're pleased to announce that the inaugural health fair held this past December in partnership with Blackhealth Connect and Afrofuture was a success.
We helped screen over 400 members of the Nima community.
Apart from providing them with critical information concerning their health we also educated them on safe and healthy lifestyle practices.
The joy and appreciation from the beneficiaries made the whole experience worthwhile.
We're grateful for all parties involved in ensuring the success of the endeavour and we're also grateful for the strong bonds formed along the way.

We are super excited to announce our new partnership with and to launch our inaugural Health Fair in Accra, Ghana this December.

Join us for a morning of networking, connecting and giving back to our local community at Nima Market on Thursday, December 28th from 7am till 1pm. For the first time, we will be bringing together health professionals from across the diaspora to conduct free health screenings for the community throughout the day.

Madam MS is a 40-year-old petty trader from Nalerigu in the North East region of Ghana.
She had been living with an anterior neck swelling for 4 years but couldn't seek treatment due to financial constraints. Madam MS was identified through a community outreach and was diagnosed as having a non-toxic multinodular goitre. She underwent a successful thyroidectomy on May 1,2023 and is now recovering well. At Generational Health Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation. 55 year old, Madam FK from Asiakwa in the Eastern region of Ghana has been battling the issue of prolonged and heavy menstrual bleeding for almost half a decade. She has been in and out of hospital over the period and her condition has necessitated repeated blood transfusions. She has been unable to obtain definitive treatment due to financial constraints. Madam FK has also been unable to work during the period due to her poor health and this has further compounded the problem. The team at Generational Health Foundation heard of her plight and intervened ; we diagnosed her of having a huge multinodular fibroid uterus and after adequate optimisation of her health a hysterectomy was successfully done for her 2 days ago. She is doing exceptionally well and recovering smoothly. Once again a big thanks to all our generous donors who make such life saving surgeries a reality for many.
