THROUGH SOIL TO SOULS 2025: PLANTING SEEDS OF SISTERHOOD, HEALING & GROWTH🌸
On Saturday, July 26th, 2025, the serene beach behind the Accra Art Center became a sanctuary of hope, joy, and connection as The Right Kind of Black Girl NGO, in partnership with Mindful Mandate Advocacy-MMA, hosted the transformative Soil to Souls experience.
We welcomed 40 vibrant girls from The Street Academy, accompanied by their teachers, into a safe and affirming space designed to nurture their voices, dreams, and well-being.
The day’s flow was filled with intentional moments of growth:
🌿 Tree Planting Ceremony: A symbolic act of rootedness and the blossoming futures of each girl.
Elegant Brunch Experience— curated with love, where the girls felt celebrated and valued.
🤝 Mentorship Pairing
The girls were matched with inspiring women mentors from diverse backgrounds for guidance, affirmation, and encouragement.
Mindful Mandate Advocacy played a pivotal role, facilitating engaging and age-appropriate discussions on mental wellness, reproductive care, and authentic self-expression. Our team also actively participated in the mentorship program, walking alongside the girls in meaningful conversations that uplifted and inspired them.
The impact was profound — the girls left with renewed confidence, a deeper sense of belonging, and the reassurance that they are seen, heard, and celebrated. More than trees were planted that day; we sowed seeds of hope, resilience, and sisterhood that will continue to grow.
We believe that when we lift, we grow — and this event was a beautiful reminder of that truth.
