I am loving the quality of movie productions coming out of Nigeria lately, this is now streaming on Netflix.
You are forced to watch them over and over again.
Go on Netflix and watch this Yòrúba-African Thriller, "JAGUN JAGUN".
I can't get enough of it.
The story line is on point, with different themes from Romance to Action to Tragedy and to Politics (Power)
When the tree weapon pierced Agẹmọ, it was as if a dagger pierced through my heart. It was love, Omgooosh! You would cry but I held back my tears cos I gotta be strong even as a warrior.
Lastly, one of the strongest themes was the political theme which which was a call to all young people in Nigeria, Ghana and Africa to learn from the storyline including the abuse of power, divide and conquer, how the strong exploits the "weak", how the rich and political elite exploit the youth, using them as pawns in their games.
Foreigners (traders/ corprations) supplying the elite and rich with resources (weapons) to opress the masses. These politicians and rich use other people's children for their benefit whilst leaving out their children.
This is a reminiscence of the climate of politics in Africa (Ghana, Nigeria and others) when they misuse the youth or the youth allow themselves to be misused by unethical politicians to get power and at the end SERVE themselves instead of the people.
"JAGUN JAGUN" is streaming on Netflix, do enjoy.
Kudos to the production team, the actresses and actors.
I'll rate the movie with 4 stars🌟🌟🌟🌟.
