Keep watching out on your attitudes😊.
Not everything needs your energy.
Not every comment deserves a response.
Not every situation is worth your peace.
Sometimes, the real strength is in knowing what to ignore and what to protect your heart from.
No sadness last forever, nor happiness.
And you you shall not remain in poverty , or any luxury.
Keep your observations and Faith tight.
The supreme being is sufficient.🙌🏽

A GROWING MORAL CHALLENGE AMONG SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS

A disturbing incident recently occurred in a secondary school that calls for the urgent attention of parents and society at large.

A female student in SS2 committed an offense that led her teacher to discipline her. During the process, blood was unexpectedly seen dripping from her arm. She was taken to the principal’s office, where she was asked to remove her shirt.

To everyone’s shock, it was discovered that the bleeding came from an implant device lodged in her upper arm.

The implant, medically known as a contraceptive device, is designed to prevent pregnancy during sexual in*******se. Once inserted, it can remain in the body for up to three years.

Upon questioning, the student confessed that she was not the only one carrying the device. A school-wide investigation revealed that at least 40 female students were found with similar implants.

This raises critical questions:

What business does a girl under the age of 17 have with such a device?

How did these secondary school students gain access to it?

What is the role of medical practitioners inserting such devices into minors?

The implications are alarming. If left unchecked, this trend threatens the moral upbringing of children and the future of our society. Parents cannot afford to remain silent.

The Role of Parents and Society

Parents have a divine and moral duty to nurture, monitor, and guide their children. Failure to do so not only leads to societal decay but also carries accountability before God.
Equally concerning is the role of health workers who administer such implants to underage girls. By doing so, they indirectly promote immorality and compromise the values of the younger generation.

Way Forward
Parents must intensify close monitoring of their children, both at home and in school.
Open communication between parents and children on moral, religious, and social issues must be prioritized.
Community leaders, religious leaders, and schools should work together to restore discipline and moral guidance.
Where possible, girls who are of age and have responsible suitors should be encouraged to marry, as marriage helps curb immoral behavior.
What was once thought to be a challenge only among university students is now creeping into secondary schools. This calls for urgent action from parents, schools, health authorities, and society at large. The moral future of our children depends on the decisions we make today.

WAEC IRREGULARITIES

WAEC's Irregularity Reporting & Investigation System (IRIS) portal is a game-changer for students whose BECE results have been withheld or cancelled due to exam irregularities. Here's what you need to know.

WHAT IS IRIS?
IRIS is an online platform designed to provide transparency and updates on cases related to exam malpractices. It allows students, parents, and schools to track the status of their cases in real-time.

HOW TO CHECK YOUR STATUS:

1. Visit irreg.waecgh.org
2. Click on Candidate Login.
3. Enter your Index Number.
4. Add your Date of Birth.
5. Select your Year of Examination.
6. Hit Submit and check your status.

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Once you log in, you'll see updates on the progress of your case. This portal is part of WAEC's effort to boost transparency and accountability in the examination process.

SCHOOLS CAN ALSO TRACK CASES:
Schools have a separate login section where they can manage cases for their students. This means your headteacher or exam officer can track things for you as well.

When Will Results Be Released?
WAEC says they'll be out very soon.

“I’ll be 60 next year. And I’m not here to impress anyone. I’ve been the champion. I’ve been the villain. I’ve had gold ...
06/08/2025

“I’ll be 60 next year. And I’m not here to impress anyone. I’ve been the champion. I’ve been the villain. I’ve had gold around my waist and nothing in my soul.

Now? I just want peace. Everything else is noise.”

I grew up where love was tough and fists were currency.

I didn’t learn kindness — I learned survival.

By 13, I had been arrested 38 times. By 20, I was the youngest heavyweight champion in history.
They called me “Iron Mike” — like I wasn’t supposed to bleed.

I had money, fame, mansions, tigers, private jets… But I couldn’t sleep. I couldn’t breathe.
The world saw knockouts.
I saw ghosts.

At 40, I started asking better questions. Not “how do I win?”
But “why was I always fighting in the first place?”

And the truth?
I wasn’t fighting the other guy.
I was fighting myself. My fear. My father’s silence. My mother’s pain. My own shame.

Now, at nearly 60, I’m not chasing anything.

I grow mushrooms.
I hug my pigeons.
I walk barefoot on grass and cry sometimes for no reason at all.

I talk more about forgiveness than uppercuts.

I don’t need the belt. I don’t need the roar of a crowd.

I just want to eat good fruit, tell the truth, and die knowing I broke the cycle.

If you want to know what greatness is — it’s not dominance. It’s healing.

It’s walking away from the thing that used to destroy you — and choosing not to destroy others with it.
