All set up for the WUDOABA "MARKET STORM"

The Ketu South NHIS team today Friday 13 March 2026, storms Wudoaba Market, bringing its services once again closer to the people.

Following a successful event at Denu and Agbozume market, the team is now at Wudoaba Market. This exercise will not only save members from long distance travels to our district office but also offer education about NHIS policies and programs enabling members to better understand and appreciate the relevance of the card they hold.

We as a team are poised to make sure that everyone irrespective of the location has equal and quality access to health care.

NHIS Ketu South Storms Denu Market with "Market Storm" Initiative

‎The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Ketu South office in the Volta Region took its services directly to the people at Denu Market on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, as part of its "Market Storm" initiative. The event aimed to educate members about various policies and programs under the NHIS and encourage enrollment.

‎Speaking at the event, Mr. Bright Dzila, Manager of NHIS Ketu South, emphasized the importance of enrolling in the NHIS program to access quality healthcare services. He urged members to renew their health insurance on time to avoid extortion by healthcare providers.

‎Mrs. Evelyn Quainoo, an NHIS staff, guided members through the mobile renewal process using the *929 # short code and introduced the MyNHIS app, which enables registration from the comfort of one's home. She highlighted some diseases covered by NHIS and advised members to resist extortion attempts by healthcare facilities.

The ‎deputy Director of Provider and Client Relations
Ms. Hamdiya Amadu Yakubu, accompanied by her team highlighted that over 500 diseases are covered by the National Health Insurance Scheme. She announced plans to introduce an NHIS pulpit at health facilities to address extortion issues and thanked staff for their commitment and dedication.

‎The Scheme Manager, Mr. Bright Dzila, thanked the team for their visit and wished them a safe journey back.

Ketu South NHIS Management and Staff Sympathize with Precious Akotey

The Management and Staff of the Ketu South National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), led by Mr. Bright Dzila the ketu south Scheme Manager together with Mr. Gordon Emmanuel (MIS Officer), Rev. Godwin Fiati (PRO), Ms. Naomi Nunekpeku (Administrative Assistant), Mr. Elis Ackumey, Ms. Edna Ackumey, Mr. Gilbert Attanku, and Mr. Raimond Dogbey, today visited the funeral grounds in Agbozume to sympathize with Mr. Precious Akotey, a National Service Personnel, on the loss of his father.

Speaking on behalf of Management and Staff, Mr. Bright Dzila the scheme manager conveyed their deepest condolences to Precious and his family, praying that they find strength and comfort during this difficult moment.

Mr. Precious Akotey served as part of the 2024–2025 cohort of the National Service Personnel posted to the Ketu South NHIS and was stationed at the Agbozume satellite office where he distinguished himself through dedication, diligence, and professionalism. His contributions to the Scheme are sincerely valued and appreciated.

During the visit, Management and Staff presented a donation of GHC 500 at the funeral and offered an additional GHC 700 directly to Precious to support him during this challenging period.
