SDA Hospital, Asamang Commissions New Mortuary Facility

SDA Hospital, Asamang has officially commissioned its newly constructed mortuary facility in a brief but dignified ceremony held on the hospital premises on Thursday 24th July 2025

The event brought together hospital leadership, board members, municipal health authorities, traditional leaders, and staff to dedicate the facility to the service of the community. The new mortuary, equipped with modern refrigeration units and designed to meet current health and safety standards, is expected to significantly improve the hospital’s capacity to manage deceased persons with dignity and professionalism.

The comissioning of the facility was led by Dr. James Antwi, the Director of the Ghana Adventisy Health Service. The dedication prayer was performed by Pastor Jonathan Owusu( Board Chairman and President of the Ashanti Central Ghana Conference) who called for God's presence and comfort to accompany families who will use the facility in their times of grief.

The new mortuary is now fully operational and open to the public.

OUR MEGA MEDICAL MISSIONS MONTH IS HERE!

A team of Surgeons and Physicians from USA, Germany, India and Ghana will be in Asamang SDA Hospital as part of our Ghana Missions 2025 and 40th Anniversary program from 4th August to 22nd August 2025.

The following services will be offered;

1. Eye Surgeries ( cataract/ptyregium) and Distribution of Reading glasses

2. Plastic Surgeries (Keloids, Excision of Lumps, Contracture Releases).

3. Diabetes and Hypertension Management

4. Dental Care ( extraction / Scaling and polishing )

5. Myomectomy ( fibroid removal )

6. Thyroidectomy ( thyroid removal )

7. Hernia Repair and Hydrocele removal
