FIRST ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF THE SECOND SESSION OF THE NINTH ASSEMBLY HELD.

The Bekwai Municipal Assembly (BMA) convened its First Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Assembly on Tuesday, 15th July 2025, at the Municipal Assembly Hall. The meeting brought together key stakeholders including the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Salifu Issaka; the Presiding Member, Hon. Kofi Asante Bruce; all Hon. Assembly Members, and Heads of Departments within the Assembly.

MCE TOURS BECE CENTERS IN BEKWAI MUNICIPALITY AS 2025 EXAMS BEGIN

Bekwai, Ashanti Region – Wednesday, 11th June 2025

As the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) commenced nationwide, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Bekwai, Hon. Salifu Issaka, paid a working visit to several examination centers within the municipality, including the Bekwai SDA Senior High School center.

The MCE was accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, the Municipal Education Director (MED), Mrs. Liticia Obeng, as well as some staff from the Bekwai Municipal Assembly.

During the visit, the delegation interacted with candidates and invigilators, offering words of encouragement and support to the students. Hon. Salifu Issaka urged the candidates to remain calm, confident, and focused, emphasizing the importance of the BECE as a stepping stone in their academic journey.

Ms. Arthur, the MCD, reiterated the Assembly's commitment to supporting quality education in the municipality, while Mrs. Obeng, the Education Director, expressed confidence in the preparedness of the candidates and the smooth conduct of the exams.

The visit formed part of efforts by the Assembly and the Education Directorate to ensure a peaceful and successful examination period for all candidates in the municipality.

NEW MCE OF BEKWAI MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY MEETS WITH HEADS OF DEPARTMENT

A formal introductory meeting between the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Bekwai Municipal Assembly, Hon. Salifu Issaka, and heads of department was held on Monday, 19th May 2025.

The session took place at the Assembly’s Conference Room and was attended by the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Ms. Sheila Rosetta Arthur, and other senior officials.

Bekwai, Tuesday, May 13, 2025 — The Bekwai Municipal Assembly has unanimously confirmed Hon. Salifu Issaka as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), following a decisive endorsement by all 49 Assembly Members. The confirmation took place at the Bekwai Municipal Assembly Hall.
