A SNMA initiative focused on increasing awareness of Osteopathic Medicine in African countries through education, cultural competency, and service.
D.O.CTORS REDEFINING LIMITS was founded on the campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in January 2017 as global community service initiative for the PCOM chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA). It's founders Janet Nwaukoni and Miranda Nortey (Co-President and Community Service Co-Chair, respectively) wanted to bring increasing awareness of Osteopathic Medicine in African countries through education, cultural competency, and service. As it is the first program of its kind within the SNMA, PCOM's chapter hopes to sustain this program for many years to come.
