PEER REVIEW EXERCISE AT KETA MUNICIPAL HOSPITAL
As part of the continuous quality improvement drive within the Ghana Health Service, Ghana Health Service-Volta and Christian Health Association of Ghana - CHAG facilities in the Volta Region, the Keta municipal hospital. on Thursday, 10th July 2025, underwent an institutional peer review exercise. This exercise was conducted in line with the Service’s commitment to ensuring accountability, efficiency, and quality healthcare delivery across all levels of care.
REVIEWING INSTITUTIONS
The peer review was carried out by a team of seasoned professionals drawn from the following health facilities:
Ketu North Municipal Hospital, Weta
Ketu South Municipal Hospital - Aflao
Anloga Polyclinic, GHS
St. Anthony Hospital, Dzodze
EP Church International Mission Hospital, Adzadokpo
Focus Areas of the Review
The review was centered on the hospital’s performance across key strategic health objectives and thematic areas, including:
1. Strategic Objective 1: Ensuring Sustainable, Affordable, Equitable, and Easily Accessible Healthcare Services (towards Universal Health Coverage)
2. Strategic Objective 2: Reducing Morbidity and Mortality among Newborns and Mothers
3. Strategic Objective 3: Enhancing Efficiency in Governance and Management of the Health System
4. Strategic Objective 4: Intensifying Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases and Reducing Incidence of HIV/AIDS and Other STIs, especially among Vulnerable Groups

At the conclusion of the exercise, Keta Municipal Hospital was adjudged to be , with a weighted average score of 2.8 out of a total score of 4.,(*Highly Performing=3.0-4.0, Performing=2.0-2.9, Under Performing = 1-1.9 and Severely Under Performing
