To mark the Week Celebrations, ICare Network Ghana embarked on an health and screening outreach program. The event, held on Saturday, 12th March 2026 at All nations charity home-Ayigya, aimed to promote eye health awareness and provide access to quality eye care services.

About 100 children and staff members benefited from the screening, receiving comprehensive eye assessments and education on general eye health and safety management.
This initiative highlights 's commitment to enhancing eye health in various communities.
Kudos to all volunteers for making this initiative successful.

We are officially reintroducing iCare Network International.

Over the past months, we took time to reflect, reorganize, and strengthen our foundation. Our purpose has not changed. We remain committed to delivering health care, especially eye care, and providing education, mentorship, and social support to underserved communities in Ghana and beyond.

We are stepping back into the field with renewed focus and intention.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this work.

Dr. Obeng-Boateng is an accomplished optometrist based in Ghana, known for her dedication to community eye care and mentorship. She has led numerous outreach programs providing essential vision services to underserved populations.

As a candidate for fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry, she continues to champion excellence in advocacy, mentorship, and compassionate clinical practice.

iCare Network Mentor Spotlight: Dr. Benjamin Baah Konadu, OD.

Dr. Konadu is a graduate student at Georgetown University, where he studies the role of activity-dependent proteostasis in synaptic plasticity. He holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from KNUST and has conducted research in HIV, ophthalmology, and rehabilitative assistive devices.

He is a member of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and the Society for Neuroscience (SFN), and also serves as a technical official with the Ghana Badminton Federation.

Dr. Bright Vandyke Okyere ( Bryt Ok VanDyke ) is an optometrist, educator and social entrepreneur who continues to expand access to quality eye care across Africa. He leads Anidaso Eye Centre and Wezi Ophthalmics Ltd and has helped set up more than 100 eye clinics that provide essential vision care to people across the continent.

His leadership reflects dedication, vision and a strong commitment to improving lives through practical solutions in eye health.
