“So Allotey upon reaching Heathrow and was questioned by the security personnel on duty, a member of the NPP who was present realizing that he’s been left to go through the checkpoint while Allotey was held up, he waited at the arrival section and watched as all the passengers on the BA flight from Ghana walked off. After three hours of not seeing any sign of Allotey, he concluded that he had been arrested, but it wasn’t an arrest he was asked harmless questions and was allowed to go later. He went off to America. The NPP man thought Allotey was coming to the UK and so hours after not seeing him there, he concluded that he’d been arrested not knowing that he’d gone to the USA.” -Nii Amasa Namoale

Member of Parliament for La-Dadekotopon, Nii Amasa Namoale has confirmed that Central Regional Chairman of the ruling NDC, Allotey Jacobs was held up by security officials at the Heathrow Airport…

PRESS STATEMENT; ALL MEDIA HOUSES

WE SHALL RESIST OPPRESSORS RULE; Says YPG.

Trust they say is one of the core basis upon which all legitimate and sustainable political systems are built and structured: it is indeed crucial for social cohesion and human well-being. Trust is a vital ingredient for successful policy-making in any decent democracy, as the implementation of many government policies depends on behavioural responses from the public.

In fulfilment of a campaign promise by Barrack Obama the president of the United States of America to close down Guantanamo Bay Detention Facility(a home for deadly criminals and terrorists/ enemy combatants), detainees are being transferred to other prisons in other to ensure the closure of the Detention facility.

A statement issued by Hannah Serwaah Tetteh the Minster Of Foreign Affairs disclosing an agreement made with the US government to transfer two of these dangerous detainees from Guantanamo Prison to Ghana which has been successfully done.

Mohammed Salih Khalid al-Dhuby, 38 and a member Al-Qaeda( a notorious terrorist group), Yemeni Mahmud Umar Mohammed bin Atef, 36. This two terrorist where captured in Afghanistan in 2001.

Government unilaterally took this decision without consulting Ghanaians through the August house of parliament. Citizens where kept in the dark with regards to this deadly transaction.

Youth For Progressive Ghana has gathered evidence that, Illinois Federal Faculty which was abandoned for years was renovated to ensure a successful transfer of Detainees from Guantanamo. However the State Senate and Congress rejected this transfer of Detainees even though it would have created a lot of employment as Illinois is a rural town.

If Illinois and it's surrounding towns with state of the art security system rejected the transfer of this dangerous detainees due to it's future consequences, how on earth should a country with highly porous borders and prisons, poor security and monitoring systems like Ghana accept this dangerous detainees.

As we just enter the election year, the security situation going into the general elections tends to be rather fragile and we would not like to exacerbate our already polarized country.

Youth For Progressive Ghana therefore call on the speaker of Parliament to summon the minister of Foreign Affairs to explain in detail the transaction between the US government and our government as this transfer of detainees has a serious implications for our national security.

We the Youth would like to make this loud and clear to the Executives and the Legislature, that, we will uphold and defend this country against greed, corruption and other activities that will bring the security and safety of our country into disrepute.

Youth For Progressive Ghana gives the government till the end of this month to review or start the agreements to review this transfer or we hit the streets to protest with our lives and blood, this senseless decision.

I kinda agree with the government's plan to re-launch
the National Identification Initiative.
Let's start it tomorrow. Forget New Voters Register.
Forget Audit Voters Register. Take one month.
Register ALL of us. Match that record against all
existing records. Derive a list of all Ghanaians above
the age of 18. BINGO, you have your Voters Register.
If any idiot of a kid says he/she is 18, that's his/her
wahala. We already have your biometric data. You
will keep that age until you die. If you try to change
it, Go Straight To Jail.
It ain't rocket science. But why will it not happen?
Something called ABAK - Abro, Bayie, Atrimuoden
and Krono. Dasall.
