Penkwase Clinic staff embarked on our second outreach visit to support small and less-served communities, this time in Addai, Sunyani West District.

In this video, Mr. Kofi Adu Ameyaw (Clinic Administrator) introduces the exercise and our commitment to extending healthcare beyond the clinic walls through health education, basic screenings, advice, and support.

Good health does not happen by accident — it is built through daily habits and regular medical care.

At Penkwase Clinic, we encourage everyone in our community to take proactive steps toward better health:

🥗 1. Eat a Balanced Diet

Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins in your meals. Reduce excessive sugar, salt, and processed foods. Good nutrition strengthens your immune system and reduces the risk of chronic diseases.

💧 2. Stay Hydrated

Water supports digestion, circulation, temperature control, and overall body function. Aim to drink enough clean water daily.

🏃🏾‍♂️ 3. Exercise Regularly

Physical activity improves heart health, strengthens muscles, supports mental well-being, and helps control weight. Even 30 minutes of moderate activity most days makes a difference.

😴 4. Get Adequate Sleep

Adults need about 7–8 hours of quality sleep daily. Proper rest allows your body to repair and maintain healthy brain function.

Chronic stress can weaken your immune system and increase the risk of hypertension and heart disease. Practice relaxation techniques, prayer/meditation, breathing exercises, and healthy social interaction.

Know the warning signs in children:
⚠️ Persistent fever
⚠️ Unusual lumps/swelling
⚠️ Frequent infections
⚠️ Unexplained weight loss / tiredness
⚠️ Easy bruising/bleeding
⚠️ Bone pain or persistent headaches/vomiting

If your child has symptoms that persist or worry you, please visit your nearest Clinic early for assessment and referral if needed. Early action matters. 💙
