Stages of Change:
Precontemplation:

Contemplation:
Individuals in this stage are aware of the problem and beginning to consider making a change, but haven't committed to taking action.
Preparation:
Individuals are getting ready to change, making small steps and preparing for the process.
Action:
Individuals are actively modifying their behavior, environment, or experiences to overcome the problem.
Maintenance:
Individuals work to prevent relapse and consolidate their gains, often requiring ongoing effort.
Relapse:
This is not a formal stage, but it's a common experience where individuals may slip back to earlier stages.
Termination:
This is the final stage where individuals have successfully maintained their change and no longer feel a need to engage in the old behavior.
