1. Ensure sustainable, affordable, equitable, easily accessible healthcare services (Universal Health Coverage (UHC)
2. Reduce morbidity, mortality and disability
3. Enhance efficiency in governance and management of the health system
4. Intensify prevention and control of communicable diseases and ensure the reduction of new HIV and AIDS/STIs infections, especially among the vulnerable groups
Priorities - Objective 1: Ensure Sustainable, Affordable, Equitable And Easily Accessible Healthcare Services
• To increase service coverage, utilization and output indicators in all areas of service delivery
• To conduct periodic home visits and also the provision of outreach and school health services
• To build capacity of staff in emergency preparedness and response
Priorities- Objective 2: Reduce morbidity, disability, mortality and intensify prevention and control of non-communicable diseases
• To reduce institutional maternal mortality from 300 per 100,000 LB to 125 per 100,000 LB
• To reduce neonatal mortality from 13 per 1000 LB to 8 per 1000 LB
• Maintain zero under five Malaria fatality rate
Priorities- Objective 3: Enhance efficiency in governance and management of health system
• To reduce percentage encounters with Injection prescribed from 29.5% to 20%
• Facilitate the recruitment and retention of the requisite health personnel needed for the hospital
• Strengthening the internal control systems in the hospital
• Re-equip the hospital particularly in the area of trauma and orthopedic care
Priorities- Objective 4: Intensify prevention and control of communicable diseases and ensure the reduction of new HIV and AIDS/STI infections
• To give health education talks to both staff and clients on cleanliness, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
• To establish a standardized or common procedure for the treatment or handling of some specific diseases.
• To provide adequate stocks of essential drugs as well as the non-drugs consumables in the hospital.
