Through your dedication and support, you have given people across the world the chance to show up for others affected by su***de and self-harm and remember loved ones. You have given hope, love and acceptance to those who need it and an opportunity to hold all those we have lost in our hearts. 💛

This year was particularly special as over 120,000 people across 14 different countries came together to walk from Darkness Into Light. I understand that the walk represents so many different things; for some, it honours a loved one; for others, it is an opportunity to let neighbours, family or friends know that they are not alone, and for countless people and communities, it breaks down the stigma around su***de and self-harm, spreading the power of hope around the globe ✨

I hope you have had time to rest and reflect on your huge contribution to this year’s Darkness Into Light ☀

How to stay safe tomorrow....

💛 Don't forget to set your alarm tonight (for your walk tomorrow).

💛Have your phone charged.

💛Tell someone your plan and schedule.

💛Make sure there is enough light so you can see, and people can see you. *Bring a torch if you have one*.

💛 Wear your Darkness Into Light t-shirt. If you still need one please contact us and we will endeavor to get on to you today.

💛Wear comfortable shoes.

💛Wear sensible weather appropriate clothing.

💛Take special care on roads, using footpaths where possible.

💛Please keep all dogs on a short lead.

💛No bikes, scooters, or skates please.

💛Pay attention to stewards and event volunteers.
