Defense minister sheikh Omar Faye should sincerely apologize to the Gambian people for his shocking remarks that victims should shut up and stop talking about human rights violation that took place for 22years under Yaya jammeh.
He mercilessly stressed that what happened is just a spilled milk and cannot be recovered so we have to open a new page.
Is man for real!!!! .
People father were butchered in cold blood, women r***d, men loose their manliness, journalist attacked and disappeared , media Houses burnt, opposition killed, tortured, imams arrested, pastors arrested, alkalos arrested, chiefs arrested, students killed, 50 plus west African migrants massacred in gruesome style, mothers, fathers sisters, brothers torture, killed because they are allegedly claimed to be witchcrafts, love one disappeared and the list continues.....
Sheik Omar the sad thing is you were part and parcel of that wicked system and failed to address at the time because you are not feeling any pain and nerve. Mr Faye with due respect stay away otherwise things will not work for you. Gambia has changed the system that you people were supporting so we will not compromise who you are irrespective of your position. Those day has gone where one can used his position to disadvantage others. Gambian has conquered fear. Never again!!!

GOVERNMENT OF THE GAMBIA SCHOLARSHIPS TENABLE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE GAMBIA 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science & Technology is pleased to announce that the Government of The Gambia is offering undergraduate scholarships to eligible candidates in the 2020/2021 Academic Year, tenable at the University of The Gambia.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Candidates must apply through the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology portal-www.moherstscholarship.gm;
• Applicants must be Gambian citizens;
• Applicants should be admitted to the University of The Gambia;
• Applicants should have a minimum of 7 credits including English Language & Mathematics;
• Continuing students should have a minimum of 3.0 CGPA
• Priority is given to STEM, Natural Sciences, Medicine, Public Health, Environmental Science, Construction and Architecture candidates;
• Applicants in employment are urged to attach recommendation letter from their respective institutions;
• Hardcopy of the application printout should be submitted no later than 31st January 2021 to the Ministry along with One Hundred Dalasis (D100) application fee.
