Bound for Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where young leaders from across the globe gather for the 14th UNESCO Youth Forum, held on the 27th and 28th of October 2025, preceding the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference.

Since its inception in 1999, the UNESCO Youth Forum has served as a vital platform for young people to voice their recommendations and innovative solutions directly to UNESCO Member States — ensuring that youth perspectives are integral to shaping global policies.

This year’s Forum centers around the theme:

Meet the Gambian representative, the Vice president of the National Federation Of The Gambia Unesco Clubs and Centers - NAFGUC

At Bound for Sarmakand (Uzbekistan) to attend the 14th UNESCO Youth Forum, on the 27th and 28th October 2025, preceding the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference.

The UNESCO Youth Forum has been taking place biannually since 1999 and its is an intregal part of the General Conference, enabling youths to submit their recommendations and solutions to UNESCO Member States.

This year's Forum is themed on "Climate action and social impacts, particularly for you people".

Thanks to The National Commission for UNESCO and The National Federation of The Gambia Clubs for UNESCO for entrusting me this transformative and amazing opportunity to represent The Gambia at the Forum.

🌱✨ *MANDUAR COMMUNITY BASE CLUB for UNESCO* ✨🌱

Today, our dedicated club members officially began transplanting over 200 (Ditakh) seedlings that were carefully nurtured at the Manduar Global Hands Hub for the past three months. 🙌💚

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our members and executive body, almost half of the work is already complete. The exercise will continue tomorrow, Monday at 5:00 PM onwards, and we warmly welcome all members, non-members, and community supporters who can spare time to join us in this noble cause. 🌍🤝

Together, through commitment and sacrifice, by planting more trees 🌳, we are shaping a better climate and a greener future for The Gambia. 🇬🇲🌿

National Federation Of The Gambia Clubs for UNESCO - NAFGUC in collaboration with Universal Estate Youth Association - UEYA embark on a day capacity building part of the commemoration of the International Day of Peace. This day is observed annually on September 21st, is a United Nations - sanctioned holiday dedicated to strengthening the ideals of Peace among all nations and peoples. established by UN General Assembly in 1982. In 2001, the GA unanimously voted to designate the date as a fixed annual date. as a day of cease fire and non-violence.
PEACE IS OUR TRUE NATURE
WHEN WE CONNECT WITH THE STILLNESS AT THE CENTER OF OUR BEING, THROUGH MEDITATION, THROUGH PRAYERS, MINDFUL AWARENESS AND SINCERE INTENTION, THE PEACE WE FEEL WITHIN NATURALLY WILL FOLLOW US AND WILL ALSO RADIATE OUTWARD. THAT WILL INFLUENCE OUR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES.
