A two-day intensive training on Media and Information Literacy (MIL), Hate Speech, Crisis Communication & Managing Public Narratives officially commenced today, 16th – 17th December 2025, at the National Youth Council (NYC) Hall.
This important capacity-building program is aimed at strengthening participants’ ability to critically access, evaluate, create, and share information responsibly a vital skill in today’s fast-changing media environment. The sessions place strong emphasis on improving reporting standards, promoting ethical and responsible communication, and addressing the growing challenges of hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation.
I am proud to be representing the National Federation Of The Gambia Unesco Clubs and Centers - NAFGUC at this impactful training, reaffirming our commitment to UNESCO ideals of peace, dialogue, media literacy, and responsible information sharing.
Together, we continue to empower youth and communicators to shape positive public narratives and build a more informed, tolerant, and peaceful society.
