SAPEH: MOU SIGNED WITH KEYCDA

Dearest Colleagues,

We are pleased to inform you that the 13th Executive Council of SAPEH has yesterday, successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kombo East Youth and Children Development Alliance (KEYCDA).

As you may recall, we earlier notified you of our engagement with KEYCDA and the promising discussions held towards establishing a formal partnership. We are delighted to announce that this collaboration has now been officially sealed.

This MoU paves the way for stronger coordination in health promotion, community sensitization, and youth empowerment initiatives, allowing us to expand our reach and impact within the communities we serve.

We appreciate your continuous support as we (SAPEH) work to build meaningful partnerships for the advancement of public and environmental health.

SAPEH: PARTNERSHIP WITH THE EXPANDED PROGRAM ON IMMUNIZATION (EPI)

Dear colleagues,

The 13th Executive Council of SAPEH wishes to update the general membership regarding the recent successful courtesy visit to the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). As we all are aware, a collaboration has officially been established between SAPEH and the EPI.

Through this partnership, SAPEH students will have the opportunity to participate in immunization-related activities such as vaccination campaigns, surveys, and other EPI-led public health engagements.

As a direct outcome of this partnership, 13 SAPEH students have been selected to take part in the forthcoming Post (Measles Rubella; MR) Campaign Coverage Survey (PCCS) under the EPI.

The Council extends its profound appreciation to the EPI team for their continued collaboration and looks forward to more impactful engagements aimed at enhancing studentsโ€™ practical exposure and professional development.

SAPEH: UPDATE ON THE ONGOING CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW PROCESS

Dearest Colleagues,

We're pleased to inform you that the SAPEH Constitutional Review Committee (CRC) held its third sitting yesterday 1st November, 2025; as part of its ongoing efforts to refine and strengthen the associationโ€™s constitution. With this sitting, the committee has successfully concluded the first phase of the review and has now transitioned into the next phase of the process.

The SAPEH leadership wishes to reassure all members that the constitutional review exercise remains actively in progress, with all hands on deck to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive outcome. The revised constitution, once finalized, will serve as a guiding framework for our collective actions and promote transparency, accountability, and effective governance within the association.

SAPEH: COURTESY VISIT TO THE NATIONAL AIDS SECRETARIAT

Earlier today, the 13th Executive Council of the Student Association of Public and Environmental Health (SAPEH) paid a courtesy visit to the National AIDS Secretariat (NAS) as part of efforts to strengthen the ongoing Health Promotion Week, which focuses on HIV awareness.

The NAS team warmly received the delegation and commended SAPEHโ€™s initiative to promote HIV education, noting that it aligns with the Secretariatโ€™s national mandate.

The meeting was productive, as NAS provided valuable technical guidance to strengthen SAPEHโ€™s approach and pledged logistical support to ensure the successful implementation of the awareness campaign.

Earlier today, the 13th Executive Council of SAPEH paid a courtesy visit to the Directorate of Public Health Services as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and mobilize support for our upcoming initiatives.

The visit centered on discussions around SAPEHโ€™s forthcoming key activities, notably the Health Promotion Week and the planned Nationwide Tour. During the meeting, the Council also outlined some of the operational challenges facing the association in preparing for these activities, particularly with respect to logistics and technical support.

In response, the Directorate warmly received our delegation and commended SAPEHโ€™s contributions to advancing public and environmental health. They provided technical guidance on the proposed initiatives and pledged support, particularly in the areas of logistics and facilitation.

The meeting proved highly productive, offering SAPEH valuable insights from the Director and his team, which will further enrich our strategic direction going forward.
