TB programme presented the implementation status of the TB and TB/HIV collaborative activities to the visiting Global Fund Country Team to The Gambia. The presentation highlighted key achievements, existing challenges, important recommendations, and lessons learnt as the programme continues to strengthen service delivery nationwide.

NAS remains committed to supporting and partnering with the TB programme and advancing the national response.

URR NAS Office Conducts Monitoring Visit to Aja Juma Jallow Minor Health Center, Jimara

Earlier this morning, a monitoring team comprising representatives from the Regional Health Directorate (RHD) and staff from the URR NAS Office visited the Aja Juma Jallow Minor Health Center in Jimara.

The purpose of the visit was to assess the facility’s readiness for the implementation of PMTCT services and the rollout of Differentiated Service Delivery (DSD).

The team also used the opportunity to engage with the staff, including the Nigerian TAC, to provide clarification on PMTCT services and the DSD rollout.

The Officer-in-Charge, Mr. Abdoulie Jallow, welcomed the team and assured them of his commitment to improving service delivery, particularly in TB and HIV services.

Together, we continue to strengthen health systems for better outcomes in URR. 💪🏽❤️

NAS Office, Soma ART Clinic & NASO Conduct HIV Sensitization and Testing in Sibito Village

On Saturday, 8th November 2025, the NAS Office, in collaboration with Soma ART Clinic and NASO, held a successful community sensitization, HIV counselling, and testing activity at Sibito Health Post in Sibito Village, Lower River Region.

The event, which lasted from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., brought together participants from various communities across The Gambia and neighboring Senegal (Casamance).

The initiative aimed to increase HIV awareness, promote prevention, and encourage individuals to know their HIV status.

Together, we continue the fight against HIV and work toward healthier communities. ❤️💪🏽
