✈️Η ομάδα του ταξιδεύει στη Βιέννη για τη φετινή συμμετοχή της στο IHE Europe , που πραγματοποιείται 23-27 Ιουνίου.
📲Το Κέντρο Εφαρμογών και Υπηρεσιών Ηλεκτρονικής Υγείας του ΙΤΕ-ΙΠ ειδικεύεται στην ανάπτυξη πρωτοπόρων πακέτων εφαρμογών για τον χώρο της υγείας, και ως μέλος της εκδήλωσης Connectathon 2025, η ομάδα μας θα τεστάρει και θα αναβαθμίσει την σουίτα λογισμικού μέσω δοκιμών διαλειτουργικότητας σε πραγματικές συνθήκες.

🎬Ρεπορταζ από την εκπομπή "Περίμετρος" της ΕΡΤ3, για το πρόγραμμα ΖΩΗ της Περιφέρειας Κρήτης, στο οποίο συμπράττουν το Εργαστήριο Καρδιοπνευμονικής Αναζωογόνησης της Ιατρικής Σχολής του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης και το Ινστιτούτο Πληροφορικής του ΙΤΕ, με ιδιαίτερη αναφορά στην εφαρμογή εντοπισμού των λειτουργικών αυτόματων εξωτερικών απινιδωτών, η οποία έχει αναπτυχθεί από το Τμήμα Καινοτομίας και Ανάπτυξης Εφαρμογών του .

📱 Η εφαρμογή εκτός από τον ενεργό χάρτη με τους διαθέσιμους απινιδωτές σε όλο το νησί της Κρήτης, περιλαμβάνει οδηγίες διαχείρισης έκτακτου περιστατικού και επιπλέον εκπαιδευτικό υλικό, στην ελληνική και στην αγγλική γλώσσα, και είναι διαθέσιμη στις πλατφόρμες App Store και Google Play.

🌍Yesterday the FORTH-Institute of Computer Science had the pleasure of welcoming two healthcare professionals from abroad: Ms. Susanne Aellgaard, DRG Consultant from Denmark, and Mr. Lorenzo Isella, Management Engineer from Italy.
▶️ The visit took place in the frame of the HOPE Exchange Programme, co-funded by the European Union🇪🇺. This year’s theme, “Together for Quality in Healthcare,” emphasizes knowledge sharing on healthcare quality, innovation, and patient-centered services.
🏨The visitors, hosted from May 19th to June 15th by Venizeleio–Pananeio General Hospital, are exploring quality management practices, evaluation procedures, and the use of innovative tools in patient and data management in local healthcare units. At the same time, they contribute by sharing their own expertise and best practices.
📑Accompanied by Ms. Dimitra Evangelinou from Venizeleio Hospital, the visitors were welcomed at ICS-FORTH where they attended an overview presentation of FORTH's mission by Dr. Maria Makridaki, Innovation Manager at Center for eHealth Applications & Services.
◼️ Mr. Dimitrios Katehakis , Head of , presented the Center’s activities, and the services offered by the "smartHEALTH" European Digital Innovation Hub.
◼️ Dr. Angelina Kouroubali, PhD, FIAHSI highlighted the Region of Crete’s designation as a Reference Site for Active and Healthy Ageing.
◼️ Discussions on quality assurance and risk management followed, led by Ms. Evangelia Kartsoni, Quality Assurance Manager, and Mr. Nikos Stathiakis, Information Security Manager.
◼️ The visit concluded with a presentation by Mr. George Dimitriou, Cluster Manager of the Hellenic Digital Health Cluster (HDHC).

The Institute of Computer Science was represented at the Conference in Kraków (May 15–16) by Apostolos Dimitriadis, Business Development & Innovation Manager at , who contributed to two high-level panel discussions during the event.
▪In the panel organized by the project, he joined the dialogue on designing regional roadmaps for , highlighting the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration and aligned policy efforts at both regional and EU levels.
▪In a second panel, under the Preciseu project, the discussion focused on Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products ( ), innovation in health data, and their role in supporting the EU Compass strategy for healthcare innovation and competitiveness.
