King Zeus turned her into the first turtle in the world - for preferring to stay home instead coming to his wedding with Goddess Hera. We are Nimrod Dagan and Kristóf Steiner, a married couple originally from Budapest & Tel Aviv-Jaffa. We are both story tellers, who are not big fans of labels, but we get it, this is our official website, so here are some of those: we are human, animal rights, and

ecological living activists, journalists for international magazines, we run a few plant based food businesses, we are published book writers, public speakers and actors. But all these things are just excuses do do what we love to do most: learn about life, through connecting to other human beings on their unique paths. We are blessed to be followed by hundreds of thousands of readers, viewers, like-minded earthlings on our social media channels, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X, and Threads, and we never take this for granted - we are grateful every day, and we also value the responsibility ot it all. This was our motivation to create a complex platform, merging online, and personal, real life experiences where we can connect, and express ourselves. In 2019 spring we decided to make a change in our lives, we left the big cities, we packed ourselves and our stuff, first we moved into small studio by the sea in a tiny village, and adopted 6 cats... or more correctly, they adopted us. Since then, we are growing our own veggies, cooking our own plant based food, and trying to create as much as we can with our hands, accessories, home decoration, and even clothes. In 2020 we fell in love with a 150 years old village stone house, and decided to renovate it, and to create a guest home, sharing our simple and beautiful Greek life with others.

Who you’re sharing with?

Still in awe thinking back at this fabulous dinner out with my favorite boys - hubby Nimi, and one of our best friends, Mou. We are all vegans for many years, and we were all blown away by the flavors, textures, and the vibes.

MARUMBA is the only plant based restaurant in that honors traditional Hungarian cuisine. And if you thought my birth country’s typical food is all about meat and lard… well, you may be right, but in the same time,

Hungarians also have a long list of “accidentally plant based” dishes. collected the best of them on their menu. My suggestion is to go with friends, and share - order at least 2-3 dishes per person, and dig in!

We are grateful to the whole genius team for creating this superb spot for us vegans and everyone who understands: delicious doesn’t have to mean meat! We cannot wait to return, and try all the dishes we didn’t pick this time.

Wow. We had the chance to experience the vegan tasting menu at Onyx Budapest - and honestly, wow doesn’t even begin to cover it.

We’re not really the Michelin-star fine dining type. Most nights you’ll find us in sweatpants, sharing a few simple dishes placed in the middle of the table. That’s our comfort food.

But every now and then, we open ourselves to something different - and this time, it was absolutely worth it.
We arrived hungry, curious, and with zero expectations.

Eleven courses later - some paired with alcohol-free drinks that were masterpieces - we found ourselves completely enchanted.

Nearly four hours passed like a story unfolding: a journey from past to future, from familiar flavors to bold, imaginative surprises.

We started in the 1700s, with the opening of the first ever modern restaurant in France, we finished in the future, after the destruction of planet Earth, and food was our time machine.

We even shifted rooms: from shared table to isolated islands representing the lockdown times, then back together for the grand final.

Rich textures, vibrant tastes, unexpected combinations - it was delicious, inspiring, eye-opening, and genuinely heart-warming. And we have to mention the creative team:

kind, attentive, and incredibly professional from the moment we stepped inside until we picked up our coats on the way out.

They made the whole experience feel effortless and welcoming. Thank you for this unforgettable evening. We appreciated every moment - and every bite.

Thank you , it’s been more than a meal, and not less than a trip through time and space. x

I won an award

- for my series “Since We’re Already Here.” I held it in my hand, stepped up to the microphone, said my thank-yous, and then turned to the content creators sitting in front of me and asked them for one thing: use your voice.

Because if we don’t, we keep feeding a society that truly believes it cannot change the world!

I got to take home the Video Podcast of the Year from the Creator Awards gala - with a show in which my guests and I talked about the end of the world, while next to us, in every episode, a different contemporary artist created something new.

We were lying in bed - our own little survival room, a place where, for a moment, it felt like nothing and no one could hurt us.

The whole idea was born out of the spirit of the times: the heaviness around us, the hopelessness growing inside us - turning all that into creativity, inspiration, motivation. And for me, the show became the beginning of a physical healing:

I chose the bed as a set element because I was recovering from surgery… together with you.

With all of you who stayed with us through 11+1 episodes.
My gratitude goes to my conversation partners, to our resident artists, to my co-creators, to all of you who watched, listened, voted for me - and to the members of the professional jury,

who with their votes stood not only by me, but by something much bigger: by humanity itself.

By the basic rights every person deserves. By insisting: mental health should not be pushed into taboo. By the belief that we should never be ashamed - in front of colleagues, friends, family, the whole world - to express solidarity with those who need us.

The world hasn’t been saved just yet.

Not from us humans, and we haven’t been saved from the world either, this world we haven’t cared for the way it deserved… the way we deserved. But moments like this, when, in the silence of indifference, a voice that seems out of place is actually heard -

I feel it, I know it: It’s not too late. Thank you.
